19.01.2022 GREGORY PECK We are still regularly asked what has happened to Gregory Peck. Our resident peacock and his two wives (Veronique and Greta) needed to move house away from an increasingly busy road. He lives about 3 kilometres away at a wonderful and safe farm. His new owner plays the cello for his delight!! He watches her through the windows and probably would give advice if asked. I am wondering how Gregory Peck will respond to the new RED DRUM KIT!!! He now has a new range of friends in the form of Guinea fowls and hens, dogs and horses.

19.01.2022 Well Charlie was a very happy chap last Sunday. He had a lot of visitors collecting their Take Away meals and gave them all an earful!!! Thanks for the food feedback ! Even photographs!! I am wondering about the wine glasses, flowers, candles and cutlery. This could be the new Food Porn!!!

16.01.2022 ARTS RUTHERGLEN TASTES OF ART SHOW This weekend Arts Rutherglen host their Annual Art Show at the Memorial Hall. It’s always exciting and offers a range of styles, media and ideas for you to enjoy and perhaps purchase!! The exhibition will be open for viewing and sales on Saturday 7th March to Sunday 15th March 2020 between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Love your work ArtsRutherglen team!!

12.01.2022 Charlie the Cockatoo is missing the visitors...and so are we!! Who knows how long this event will keep going - but we are all in the same boat (not the cruise ship variety). We are able to supply wines and olive products. Just phone 0448812307 to arrange for a collection, because the Cellar Door is "closed" but we are about because we aren't able to go anywhere. We are also able to arrange delivery via courier. Don't miss out on your favourite goodies!! Just phone or email anytime. Happy house sitting... and take care of yourselves.

12.01.2022 CALICO TOWN?? Choosing wine branding is a tricky business Family name? Geographic feature? Just quirky or unable to pronounce? We chose part of the history of the area. During the Goldrush era mobile towns popped up where there was even a hint of gold. Canvas was a building material of choice. The Rutherglen area had more than 20 pubs or grog shops, many of which were tent style establishments. The miners and supporting businesses were able to move quickly to the next opportunity. We decided to reflect the history of Rutherglen, particularly because there is a Poppet head above a derelict goldmine on the property.

10.01.2022 Second Menu for Take Away Food from The Wicked Virgin... food photographs! A happy H. Yum! Peter the Great just returned his Seafood Pie dish and says it's the highlight of the week!

05.01.2022 FINALLY... today we started the process for Pickled Eggplant ! Only 300 kilos of eggplant... kept us busy...but all our people who are waiting for Marjie's Pickled Eggplant which we have been making for a while. This batch should be ready in a week or so.

01.01.2022 The workings for our label for RUSSIAN JACK - Saperavi. This rich deep coloured wine is from the Saperavi grape, originally from Georgia (Europe - not USA). Georgia is recognised as the birthplace of winemaking. Our first straight Saperavi - "RUSSIAN JACK" is now available - call by and give it a try!! Who was Russian Jack anyhow?? An internet search will colour in the details.
