25.01.2022 So you love your eyelash extensions! They make your face look fresh and awake every morning! One question I get ask the most is should I take a lash break for the sake of my natural lashes health? Well the answer not necessarily. When applied correctly and cared for properly eyelash extensions will not damaged your natural eyelashes in any way, so they can in fact be worn indefinitely. However, there are many other reason we would want to and recommend to take a break for ...anywhere up to 6 weeks. 1. Don’t you just miss rubbing your eyes and giving them a good scratch! Well I definitely do. Unfortunately when you live a life with beautiful eyelash extensions we don’t have the luxury of doing this. So a lash break gives you the opportunity and great pleasure to catch up on the rubbing and scratching we’ve missed! 2. Your natural lashes are going through a shed. Yes this happens ladies! On average we lose about 3 lashes per day. However, a person can lose up to 20% of their natural lashes in just 2 weeks. Natural eyelash extensions grow and fall out in cycles which occurs every 60 to 90 days. That means every 2-3 months we can lose more lashes in one go so it’s definitely more noticeable! Meaning eyelash extensions retention is not so good Great timing to give yourself a couple of weeks break in between sets 3. Hormones! Yep hormones effect everything, including your eyelashes! Oh the joys of being a women with a reproductive system that can create the most amazing and beautiful thing in the world called life! We are very lucky however hormone levels can be the down side for us. So if your are going through the change of life, just had a baby, pregnant or just going through a tough time your lashes will let you know! They can become weaker and your lash retention becomes poor meaning refills every week. So another great time to give your lashes a mini holiday So there you have it ladies!
