21.01.2022 I wanted to share a beautiful moment with you & hope it’s as uplifting for you... One of our families attending are 6 siblings who have been separated into three different foster homes.. Our Magic Christmas Dinner will be the first time they will all be at the same table & the children are so excited! The boys have organized their suits & have bought a new tie for the occasion I cried when the foster Angel shared this with me & I have her permission to share the moving mom...ent we had. So many beautiful, heartbreaking reactions to our little dinner have completely humbled me If you were wanting to contribute gifts, (or cash towards the purchase of gifts), please drop them in to the restaurant by tomorrow night, so we can make sure we have enough & appropriate gifts for EVERY child attending. 21.01.2022 I can't express enough the gratitude I feel for your support throughout this crisis. We have emerged stronger and even more appreciative (if that was even possible) of you Together we have preserved the precious memories of this important, iconic property and are ready to create new ones with you I am quietly excited to present the upcoming Festive Season, after cautious consideration of the unfolding environment, we are pressing forward with our planning. The season ...may look a little different this year, however, please know that we take the responsibility of safe celebrations very seriously, always on high alert for changes and announcements as they happen. We are fortunate that we are a large enough venue to space appropriately and yet small enough to adapt quickly when required. 2020 has been one of the most challenging years in my 32 years in business, in fact in our entire generation, but it is coming to a conclusion, and I hope you will join me at some stage to thank it for the lessons & tell it to #%# (insert your own adjective/expletive) off! 17.01.2022 Introducing our bright & shiny new group of 2020/21 School Based Trainees! I am so proud to have pioneered the accelerated group training program, almost 2 decades ago now. The success of our humble little partnership program with The Courthouse Restaurant & Sheldon College resulted in the accelerated model being rolled out across many other industries & schools, as it improved student academic results & the training outcomes & completion rates smashed the previous 4 year pr...ograms! Since then I have raisedhundreds of students who I’ve proudly watched fly on to successful careers in their chosen fields. From nurses, architects, teachers, lawyers & paramedics just to name a few, I’d like to think we helped shape their futures with the work ethic instilled, the customer focused service & attention to detail that easily transferred to their new professions. It is such a beautiful & pivotal stage in their lives, with so many firsts for them from first job, to learning to drive. Being invited into their lives as they transition into adulthood has been one of my greatest honours. I hope you will support us in their development, encourage them, even challenge them a little (maybe in a few months time) but most importantly, email me your feedback which we will then use in our weekly training sessions. This particular group is already showing so much promise and progressing so well, I know you’ll be as pleased as we are. All of our amazing staff over the years have come through this program. I love that I can inject my standard of skills & knowledge but especially love how my dedicated team of staff mentor, support & lead them by their fine example.

Regardless of your personal position, none of us want Covid in our community & none of us want the Gvt to shutdown important occasions.... Vigilance from us all is the best way towards celebrating our special occasions together, safely & successfully. The Courthouse has plenty of space & areas to serve you safely as we reopen for 2021 from today (Tuesday 12th January) and resume our Tuesday to Sunday lunch & dinner hours. We have carefully considered how to deliver an exciting day of fun, food & fashion to maintain this long tradition of Melbourne Cup Day celebrations at The Courthouse Restaurant. Spreading the event across all of our areas with additional TVs. The main dining room will be tables of 10-12, whilst all the outdoor areas can be flexible individual tables. 01.01.2022 I love quality controlling new dishes! Just a little fine tuning for the new season, I’m thrilled with the flavours Chef Mitchell has presented for us.
