09.01.2022 People often tell me they cant meditate. I say; you cant not meditate. For your own sanity. For your health; mentally and physically. Research with monks has shown that meditation literally alters the brain! If youre my patient, ask me to guide you through a meditation in our next session. Because as a whole we all had to get our heads around our lives being turned upside down; some being out of work; some having a lot of extra work; and many of us scrambling to move our businesses online. . . All this together with a portion of adjusting to and worrying about the unknown, zapping us of valuable energy. . . The author suggested that we didn’t need to finally write that book or start a new exercise routine or learn that new skill. Whatever our personal struggles; we needed to arrive safely on the other side of this. . . And after weeks of sleeping in some days and baking cookies other days and not studying to learn something new, but just being myself as best as I could; I realised you’ve got this. Mantra recitation will always help bring me back into the present. Its very easy to do and can be done anywhere, anytime we might feel al bit overwhelmed by whats going on. 01.01.2022 Ive been quiet on this account as Ive taken the last week taking some time to catch up on the worlds developments on an emotional level. What I have decided, is to start a little video series; as much for my mental health as hopefully yours; or maybe at least you get a good laugh out of this. Im not going to teach you about COVID19, theres plenty of that out already. What I do want to do, is connect and provide some useful information. For the time being Im not seeing a...ny patients in clinic as I have someone in the high risk group in my household. I will review this on a weekly basis. For now, I will be opening up for online consultations from next week; for Chinese Herbal Medicine and for teaching Arvigo self-care protocol - I think we all need some of that right now. I will talk about how that might look in a future video; but for now; heres my first video with tips on how to keep up mental well-being right now in times of social distancing. See more
