23.01.2022 SAVE VIC SKIN CLINICS We are beyond ecstatic for our beautiful state to reopen and rebuild. We, as Victorian has truly shown immense grit, resilience and patience. HOWEVER. Every skin clinic in the state is devastated. As an industry highly regulated and educated in infection control both pre and post covid, we are absolutely flabbergasted that we are unable to operate. ... We don’t have a date. Even a 0.2 average cases in regional Victoria, is not low enough for us to be performing facial treatments - for many of us 90-95% of our service offering. You can visit a pub without a mask. You can visit a restaurant without a mask. You can hire an escort or get a sensual massage without a mask. You can get a beard trim without a mask. But NO. You cannot get a treatment for your debilitating, painful acne?? We are NOT Beauty Parlours. Premier, we demand you reopen our industry immediately. Please share and tag as much as possible to save our industry. #SaveVicSkinClinics @danielandrewsmp @martinpakulamp @scottmorrisonmp @petacredlin @skynews @channel7 @channel9 @channel10au @channeltennews @heraldsunphoto @geelongaddy @theprojecttv @chriscouzensmp

21.01.2022 WE DID IT SKIN IS NOW OPEN WITH NO MASK RESTRICTIONS We have worked tirelessly with our MPs, media and journalists, as an industry we have fought for our rights to be heard. Our voices have finally been heard today to open without mask restrictions. Meaning all of our skin treatments can be done with no mask on the client. We have cried tears upon tears, the exhaustion, the mental, financial and emotional stress has been real. We can not thank you all enough for your c...onstant love, passion and support for #TASC it does not go un noticed. My team can finally get back into their career they love and are so passionate about helping change your lives. 20.01.2022 Enough is enough. We have waited patiently, taken 7 months of closure, begged for financial support, opening dates, evidence as to why our industry is not in align with others that are considered a much higher risk, contacted media, our MP’s and the government with no response. For regional, it is now safe to mingle at a bar and restaurant with a mask off under the influence of alcohol, it is safe to head to the gym and remove your mask, the barber and remove your mask, ret...ail and lastly, men can now get a happy ending and are also allowed to see sex workers yet you are banned from coming to us for a medical skin treatment in our sterile clinics. This is absolutely unfair. If we were forced to stay closed for the health and safety of our community we would absolutely do so. We closed our business well and truly before covid started before we were even told too close, as soon as we heard about covid numbers increasing for the safety of our clients. If it is safe for every other industry to be operating now, it is safe for our skin clinics. This is nothing more than a complete oversight of our skin industry. If we do not stand together as an industry and have our voices heard and fight the Victorian skin industry will be abolished In a matter of weeks. The time to stand up and fight for our industry is now. We have received love, support and backlash as has our other sister clinics. Many of our clients are amazing medical professionals, nurses, doctors and surgeons that all agree we should be open. We will not stand for negative comments, we will not keep our doors closed any longer over this oversight. We will not let our staff go and lose their jobs, we will not let our companies that we have built from sweat, blood and tears close because of this. This week is the governments last chance to provide us with an opening date for skin or we will be forced to either open our clinic doors in our covid safe planned way or we close our doors for good. I’m very proud to be speaking out as a voice for our industry along side my beautiful industry professionals. Stay tuned @danielandrewsmp because us women are coming for you. #respectmybeauty #openskinclinicsvictoria See more

15.01.2022 We have poured our hearts out asking for support, dates, guidance with no response on when our aesthetic industry is able to re-open our skin clinics to perform facial skin treatments. To date, we have no given date to perform skin until the mask rule is lifted which maybe well into next year. Our skin clinics throughout Victoria will not survive this. Every day is crucial and every day we are being ignored. There is no evidence to say why we cannot open. The premier can not ...provide any factual evidence. He has simply ignored our plea. If he does not open our industry to full capacity ASAP, the skin industry will go under in Victoria. We are all only operating at 5%-10% capacity. We cannot survive. Premier, this is our last cry for help or you give us no choice but to open or close our doors for good. Thankyou to my beautiful @hudskinandbody @chakrafaceandbody @nancy_abdou16 @barelaserandskin @ellylukas.college Please, share and tag as much as possible to have our voices heard and save our clinics. #savevicskinclinics @danielandrewsmp @martinpakulamp @skynews @channel7 @channel9 @channel10au @petacredlin @chriscouzensmp

01.01.2022 Dear Mr Premier, As a female led industry, thousands strong, the skin clinics of Victoria - businesses who have made it their purpose to change lives by helping people feel better and alleviate painful skin disorders - are still closed - unable to operate without removing our clients masks. Now, even though masks were discouraged up until mid June, it seems the premier now thinks the future of Victoria hinges on everyone wearing masks in every circumstance - even though the ...rest of the country seems to be operating just fine without them. In fact, masks are not mandated for the public in ANY other state. And it hasn’t caused an issue. In our industry, the PPE we wear is the same as that of a dentist. Or a dental hygienist. Yet a highly infectious situation as teeth cleaning or cosmetic dentistry is now allowed. And we are not. In fact, facial treatments are a much lower risk environment as clients generally don’t speak much while they are receiving a treatment. We’ve proposed to also wear a shield in addition, if a double layer is what you’re after. After all, this is safe enough for those testing for suspected covid cases. And nurses on the COVID wards treating confirmed cases. So why isn’t it safe enough in an environment where the likelihood of having a client with COVID is now extremely low. Oh yes, odds of contracting COVID in Victoria is now 1 in 1million. The odds of getting struck by lightening is 1-17000. Do we have a stay at home order when there’s lightening? No. Strangely though, it seems in fact that Doctor owned clinics, largely owned by males, are being given a free pass. Their clinicians have the same education as our clinicians. And yet these clinics are allowed to perform the very same treatments we are not allowed to perform? TV hosts are having their makeup applied daily by makeup artists on set. Does the virus behave differently in these settings perhaps? Our colleagues in NSW have operated safely without any reinfections happening in a clinic - there HAS however been clusters linked to pubs, restaurants, shops and many other industries. Mr Premier, enough is enough. #SaveVicSkinClinics
