11.01.2022 Yesterday we installed "A walk in the Wild" by Sarah Larsen . The inspiration for this exhibition originated from recent trips to Cania Gorge. It is a place that I love and frequent whenever I get the chance. As soon as I arrive, I feel the emotional release permeate through my body. The wisdom of this ancient place is reflected in the sandstone cliffs, it whispers to me in the cool surrender of the rainforest canopy that is juxtaposed against the lichen covered rocks. Strength and fragility echo on perfumed breezeways from plants that watched dinosaurs pass this way. It calls to me and I respond. I am a Aborignial, Torres Strait and South Sea Islander woman. I have strong connection between the sea the rainforest and the bush. I have been inspired by the colours of those environments.
