15.01.2022 'Art Meets Nature' is up! See it in the interesting spaces of Sofitel Melbourne's 35th floor - The Atrium. On till 3 Nov. More pics of the installations, sculptures and 2D works soon. In the meantime, here's a taster of Nichola Clarke's wonderful installation in 3 of the 'window boxes'.

12.01.2022 Currently working on two exhibitions. This one is a follow up to Art Meets Nature - at Sofitel last year and Lucy McEachern Gallery in 2018. Some exquisite work from 30 artists selected from both of those exhibitions. Here's a taster - Pam Hovel's felt 'Bungal Bungals', Silvio Aponyi's 'Gecko Hatching', Anton Hasell's laser print 'Darwin' & Steve Sedgwick's 'Salt Lake'.

09.01.2022 Here's what I'm currently up to, working with the Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne on The Art of Botanical Illustration exhibition. All online this year, but still a selling show, and with Celia Rosser Award. Excitingly, this year work in all media is eligible. Conditions and entry form below. https://www.rbgfriendsmelbourne.org/tabi-2020/

06.01.2022 Now working towards putting the Sofitel Art Meets Nature exhibition online - I'll be in touch with the artists soon. Nice to be able to offer buyers and artists another opportunity to sell/buy and see these gorgeous works again.

05.01.2022 'Art Meets Nature' is UP! See it in The Atrium, Sofitel Melbourne on Collins until 3 November. This unusual space, 35 floors up was not easy to hang but the very large, light-filled 'window boxes' provided an opportunity to include superb installations by Carmel Wallace, Rosalind Lawson, Pam Hovel and Nichola Clarke. There's work in all mediums and styles - including jewellery, sculpture, fibre art, printmaking, painting, drawing and photography by artists who are deeply inspired by nature.

05.01.2022 Save Civic Hall has worked hard since 2013 to achieve most of what it set out to do - prevent the proposed demolition, and restore and reopen. And I'm proud to have been part of that. However there are still a few issues - there is no ticket office, snack bar, or commercial kitchen, and Council has not yet listed it as of heritage & social significance (despite being twice advised to do this by Heritage Council of Victoria). And of course the important Lower Hall has been demolished by the state government for its offices - doubt remains over whether is it still their intention to sell off when finished in 2020. So the Committee has decided to continue until there is no further role for us.

04.01.2022 Now working on The Art of Botanical Illustration for the Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne.

04.01.2022 Opening of Art Meets Nature at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

03.01.2022 Very satisfying culmination of a year's work last night at the Sofitel. Art Meet Nature was officially launched by Maria Myers AC, with great music by baritone Christopher Tonkin, and Konrad Olszewski at the grand. WAMA patron Glenda Lewin updated on this exciting project & encouraged everyone to get involved. Artists came from across Australia and we all had a pretty good time! Thankyou to everyone who helped along the way - particularly the artists - and the Sofitel for allowing us to take over this rather amazing space on level 35.

02.01.2022 A great idea for turning waste into a thing of beauty from Nichola Clarke. See more of her work in "Nature Nurturing Art", coming soon! https://youtu.be/DgjgkjGdEn0
