25.01.2022 Dear Ticket Holders and Valued Supporters of The Barn at Wombat Flat, I’m very sorry to bring you the news that we have taken the decision to cancel both of our shows (Fri 20 Nov, Sat 21 Nov) with Matt Cornell and Brooke Supple. We have led a charmed life in Adelaide from April when we had our last cases of community transmission of Covid 19. As I write this, the latest outbreak has numbered 20 confirmed cases. We decided months ago that should there be a significant resurgen...ce of Covid in the SA community we would not risk the health of our patrons until it was brought under control, hence our decision to cancel. With half our audience travelling up from Adelaide, it was not worth the risk. This is the 9th show we’ve cancelled this year but we are pleased to say we have run and live-streamed three wonderful sold out events too. How lucky we were to have had those! Spare a thought for Matt Cornell though. When I told him of the cancellation he said it was the 77th show he had lost this year! Don't worry Matt and Brooke, we'll have you back for sure! Rest assured that we are actively booking shows for 2021 at the moment and hope to share that news with you in the coming months. We will keep trying to bring you the best acts we can for next year and try to keep everyone safe in the process. We know you will understand and hope you continue to support the best little listening venue in SA. Have a great holiday season and look out for our newsletters. you can subscribe on our website. Having one of those days wrestling with what it will take to keep this place open for another year. Im always crying by the third verse of most of your songs, ya bastard, wtf! For now though, Im going out to The Barn, taking the covers off the speakers, cranking up the PA at 11/10 and listening to this again. Maybe we stay the course a while ?....
