25.01.2022 Happy Friday yall! Well do a post about Kris new single tomorrow, but in the meantime just wanted to make you aware of a major change in the catalogue. The 2008 Remaster of Get Back is being phased out, and the original 2003 release is back in style (like that gum you like). You might have already noticed this change on Spotify and Apple Music and other streaming services, and this weekend well also be taking it down from Bandcamp.... The CDs will still be available for purchase, but we feel that as far as musical progression goes, the original release is truer to the chronology and development as a band. Its confusing for people coming to the band for the first time seeing SOFI listed before Get Back, as if we took a step back production-wise. You also might have noticed us cleaning up the catalogue, renaming tracks, doing some housekeeping, little mistakes that have carried over from when streaming media first started. All this to make your Basics experience more genuine and streamlined! Have a great weekend ahead!!

We were the only people on the carriage aside from this charming bloke from New York City whod come to spend time with the Jewish community in Japan. Recorded over two days at @abbeyroadstudios with a crack team including @samokell producing, @paddymilner on keys, @adamchetwood on guitar, @johnbleasedrums on drums and guest appearances from @toby.hulbert, @gingernuttz, @solila and @musicvashti, it was written during my time in... Mongolia. 13.01.2022 Hi guys, It's only taken about 2-2.5 years, but we're finally making the full audio of Wally's Songroom appearance available. However, as the premise of the live show was to perform songs without rehearsal (jumping in like an Irish Session), a lot of it is extremely questionable quality, and therefore we won't be issuing it publicly. I'd hate for people to assume it's a 'proper' recording by ourselves or Gotye, when it was something more akin to a chaotic melange of ideas.... Instead, we're it's going to be like an official bootleg "A Toot and A Scream in '16". So, if you want to get your hands on a copy, email me [Kris] at [email protected] and I'll make sure you're worthy (true fans only!). Were not cancelling the pressing (yet), but will have to push it back 2-3 months. We understand everyone is doing it tough, so look after yourselves, well be here when this mess blows over.
