23.01.2022 Round 2 Results. Another positive weekend for the club with all but the 3’s getting the points. Last year was a great success and we have no doubt this year will be bigger and better once again. This will start early November at this stage. The cost is just $80. This partnership is a major investment in our junior coaches. 10.01.2022 SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM The Basin Cricket Club is running a school holiday program once again. This year we are going to operate 10, two hour sessions. This will be from 9:30-11:30 each day at Topline Cricket Centre in Bayswater during the school holidays. ... Instead of booking in for the entire camp like the last two years, each day will have 20 spots available. This means smaller groups which therefore allows for more coaching and easier to manage numbers. It also means that you attend when you can. 09.01.2022 Another Comeback!!! We announce the return of one of the clubs Legends Shane Badger Underhill. Badger has featured in many club awards but most recently was named in the clubs Team of the last 30 Years. Badge has had the last couple of years off due to family commitments and illness. Badge has also played 1s and 2s cricket where he spearheaded our bowling line ups. A huge welcome back to Badge, beautiful wife Chelsea and gorgeous daughters Grace and Zoe

09.01.2022 Well done to all the junior cricketers who participated in the VMCU carnival. You all did yourself and the club very proud. There were some great individual performances including: Luke Makin with 9 wickets to finish as the leading wicket taker in the U12 Mitchell Shield including best figures of 4/10. Flynn Evans with 3 games of finishing with a wicket and less than 10 runs conceeded... Henry Wilkinson facing 60 plus balls in two innings and 40 in another. We look forward to seeing many more great performances over the remainder of the season from all our junior players

09.01.2022 Congratulations to Blake Walter who last week surpassed the 2000 run mark for The Basin. This is a huge effort considering Blake has only been at the club for a few years. Blake is certainly in the conversation when talking about one of the competitions best players and in the history of The Basin Cricket Club. Well Done Blakey

07.01.2022 The Basin Cricket are pleased to announce our Captains for 2020/21. Blake Walter will continue on in his role as Captain of our 1st XI, he will be well supported by new Vice Captain and returning great Jake Sherriff. Michael Rawnsley has returned to the club after a couple of years off to take charge of our 2nd XI team. Our Ex-President Steve Porch will take the reins as 3rd XI Captain and Michael Turcinovic will once again lead our 4th XI. Good luck to all Captains this year... as we look to keep building on our clubs successes both on and off the field. 06.01.2022 The Basin Cricket Club are happy to announce the arrival of Jack Brennan (Pictured Right)and Luke DSylva to the cave. Both Jack and Luke previously played at Blackburn North Cricket Club in the Box Hill Reporter. Jack has a career highest score of 151* and Best Bowling figures of 5/29. Luke has only played a handful of games with a top score of 30 and best bowling figures of 3/5. We also welcome Lukes girlfriend Amy to the club.... 06.01.2022 The Basin Cricket Club are so pumped to announce the return of one of the clubs all-round great guys and even better cricketer Ronnie Heskes. After a few years off due to family commitments, Ronnie is keen to get back to the form that saw him win a Decoite Shield Premiership in the 1st XI along side his brother Matt. Ronnie is a classy and hard working middle order batsman. Welcome back to Ronnie, his beautiful wife Bec and gorgeous girls Sienna and Indie.

06.01.2022 Cricket Camp Wrap The last two weeks has seen the club run another very successful school holiday cricket camp. Unfortunately we had to put a pause on it so today was the last day. The club would like to thank Topline, especially Lal, Jo, Jake and Dan for their hard work in coaching and getting everything organised.... A massive thanks to Lachlan and Callum Bell for being there each day providing help and running drills. We would like to thank those from other clubs who were involved. Participation from other clubs makes these even more successful. The club is looking forward to another massive year of junior cricket and plenty more activities are planned.
