14.01.2022 #maintenancemonday Keep your tyres inflated. Having your pressures too low can lead to pinch flats (if you have tubes) and increased rolling resistance.... Having them too high can decrease your traction and cornering ability. How often do you check your tyre pressures? Tyres leak air, so you should check your pressures at least once a week, depending on how often you ride. Using a floor pump with a gauge, or a separate pressure gauge, is the best way to check the pressures.

Cuts on the sidewall can allow the tube to protrude and eventually burst. ... If there are small cuts or tears these could be patched with a tyre boot. Otherwise it's time to replace the tyre. Ask our staff instore to recommend a tyre for your riding style and terrain.
