22.01.2022 Enjoy another COVID-safe, online edition of The Blues Tram, from the luxury of your home, backyard, or wherever else you're currently permitted to safely hang out, as we bring you two incredibly talented acts and showcase their sublime musical prowess. About our featured artists: Charlie Bedford is a guitarist/vocalist from Melbourne.... Charlie journeyed to Memphis USA in 2017, ‘18 & ‘19 to perform at the International Blues Challenge - Youth Showcase, representing the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society. Charlie returned to Memphis in 2020 & performed again in both Nashville & Muscle Shoals. Home in Australia, Charlie has played alongside & been mentored by some of Australia’s biggest blues artists such as; Geoff Achison, Jimi Hocking, Russell Morris & Lloyd Spiegel to name a few. Charlie has had the honour of performing on stage in the USA with band members from great acts such as BB King, Albert Collins, Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, & Wilson Pickett. Charlie began playing in bars & clubs at 12 years of age & now works as a full-time musician. He performs regularly as either a solo artist or fronting his Band. Charlie is also the guitarist in both The Great Unknown & The New Savages. Charlie is a fresh act, representing the next generation. He'll get your feet tapping & leave a smile on your face! Louise MacGregor of Louie and the Pride: When she made the move to bendigo, Louise MacGregor was used to fronting Louie and the Pride in the laid back wineries of the Yarra Valley and the Beer Gardens of Brunswick and North Fitzroy. Over the last six years Louie and the Pride have made two recordings, and played countless shows, branching out to more country Victoria venues. Their first Single Wake Me Up reached number 2 in the Triple J Unearthed pop charts and received great support on its recent re-release to Spotify. The most recent EP One Little Wind has had to have a gentle release, online, during the first lockdown, which made for a fun little Iso Clip, received with much love by audiences. Their music is cruisey, acoustic type tunes to get into your head and warm your heart. The songs are recorded drenched in harmonies and layered with guitar solo’s and a little percussion, but in pandemic times they have been stripped back to hold their own in their original form: a girl and her guitar. This event is free to watch and enjoy, but donations to help us keep generating income for artists and production crew through online events are very much appreciated. Please feel free to make a contribution of whatever size suits you, via our website's 'Make a contribution' button - https://www.bendigobluesandroots.com.au/

21.01.2022 Thanks Bendigo Venues & Events for sharing so many talented artists while we’re unable to host them in person for audiences during these tough times. Here are a couple of frequent visitors to Bendigo and Blues Team veterans: Hailey Calvert with Jason Cameron. Enjoy...
