03.01.2022 I don’t think I really need to explain the benefits of being KIND for a positive mindset. There are so many!! For you as well as the person recieving your kindness. This week I stepped out my front door to go on my 1 hour of outdoor exercise, and next to the doorstep was a small paperbag with a note on it from a neighbour. They had baked all the houses in our block a muffin with a lovely note of encouragement. How awesome is that!? Now more than ever, it is important to be... kind and not expect anything in return. 02.01.2022 EGO is our sense of self-esteem or self-importance. Getting your ego in check can quite possibly be the most beneficial action you can take to finding more balance in your life. Our natural instinct as rational human beings is to constantly be right, solve problems, and take control of the situation. Eckhart Tolle explains that the ego is like a armour or shell we build up to protect ourselves. Ever felt yourself become annoyed or complain about the way other people do thing...s, your thoughts run ahead of you thinking of how you would have done it correctly and how can that person do things so differently? When this happens, the ego has you in its grip. You don't have thoughts; the thoughts have youand if you want to be free, you have to understand that the voice in your head has PERCEIVED them and the irritation and upset you feel is the emotional response to that voice!
