01.01.2022 India has probably the cheapest postal services all across world. The cheapest source of inland letter is a post card, worth 50 paisa or half a rupee. It means you can send a letter from Leh, Ladakh in Jammu & Kashmir to 3,812 km away to Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, or 2,937km away to Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Island, and you have to pay just 50 paisa. Well, for one rupee, you can also get your reply. its not only inland letters which are cheap, but also you have to shell out just Rs12 for an airmail postcard which you can send to every Universal Postal Union Member in the world.....and they say we are driving towards capitalism...
