21.01.2022 Workforce Relations Advisor Carolyn Pabst has been part of The Bridge for almost 30 years! When we asked her what she loved about The Bridge she said Because I’ve been connected with the organisation for so long, I can travel to a site and I know participants and I remember being a support worker with them. I know their parents, I know their family members. It’s not just that way with participants, it’s that way with some staff as well. So it’s the history, and those connections over the years that really start to mean something.

02.01.2022 Wed like to share this important information from @ndis_australia: Im deaf and live in Victoria where face coverings are mandatory, can I buy a transcribing app for my phone to help me engage in the community? To ensure you can continue to engage in the community and receive NDIS supports during this time you can access low cost assistive technology (AT) items.... We have temporarily broadened the flexible approach to purchasing low cost AT items. Participants are encouraged to use this flexibility to access the disability related supports they need, for example, downloading or purchasing a translation phone app to assist you to engage in the community, using your existing core supports budget. It is important to remember that NDIS funding is for disability-related supports, not for everyday or ordinary living expenses.
