21.01.2022 Had a great trip out to the Wheatbelt and spotted a couple of Bushtucker plants while exploring Dingo rock and Gathercole reserves. #wawheatbelt, #thebushtukkagardener, #gnammahole, #sandalwood, #quandong, #dianella

21.01.2022 Stay safe everyone, it’s going to be wet and windy.

20.01.2022 If you haven’t yet stumbled upon this free online booklet by Zena Cumpston then you might want to check it out. It’s not only a great resource for individuals but also for schools and community groups that want to connect and understand more about our indigenous plants, their medical, nutritional and technological uses. https://nespurban.edu.au//2020/08/Indigenous-plant-use.pdf

17.01.2022 Just like to thank everyone that came out not just to support myself but also the other stall holders. It’s been a rough year and I’m glad to be back doing what I enjoy. #thebushtukkagardener, #bushtucker, #kalamundagardenfestival, #thankful

15.01.2022 It’s 35 degrees today and my feet are rosey red from the sun. What’s better than sitting down on the grass in the shade with the sea breeze waiting for the staircase to the moon and the markets. Grabbed myself a Boab ice tea from Bindam Mia to help pass the time away and cool me down. #bindammie, #Broome, #Staircasetothemoon, #boab, #thebushtukkagardener

15.01.2022 I love this plant, it’s easy to grow, hardy and self seeds easily around the garden. The bright little berries are great for kids when they are foraging around and delight us big kids too

13.01.2022 To celebrate National Reconciliation Week we're highlighting the diversity of Australian native plants! (A little more than we usually do). First up - Karkalla ...aka pigface! This truly diverse Australian succulent is found in coastal regions in WA, SA, Vic and Tas. Indigenous people traditionally ate the fruit fresh and paired the salty, fleshy leaves with meat. Unlike weedy species of pigface from South Africa, this one’s a homegrown favourite. A fantastic ground-cover, Karkalla also boasts eye-popping flowers! They're dynamic all-rounder we love to get around! 1. by Merritt Thomas 2. by @kyliehoughwriter See more

12.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums and to the women in our lives that have inspired, nurtured and cared for us. For those looking for something special for mum why not buy a Bushtucker plant such as a lemon myrtle, so she can sit back on her special day and enjoy a tea while putting up her feet. #thebushtukkagardener, #mothersday, #lemonmyrtle,

07.01.2022 Broome will always have a special place for me having spent many’s years living there when younger. Unfortunately sometimes when you live in a place you forget to explore the beauty and history around you. This trip I want to learn more about the country, it’s stories and explore places as if it was my first time. Day 1, I arrived in Broome and that afternoon I was on a tour with Bart Pigram from Narlijia Experiences Broome. If you ever make it up this way I definitely recommend booking yourself on one of his tours. I had walk past these mangroves so many times all those years ago but never knew some of its history or the bushfoods that can be found.

05.01.2022 A couple of months ago this Bush basil was looking a little untidy, but since receiving a trim it hasn’t looked back. This is a really easy native herb to grow, and requires little care apart from a trim every now and again to keep it bushy. #Bushbasil, #bushfood, #thebushfoodgardener, #nativefood

04.01.2022 Spotted some sea purslane planted by the Broome shire growing along the walk ways down at town beach. Great use of this edible ground cover. #seapurslane, #bushfood, #thebushtukkagardener, #broome

04.01.2022 Anyone out there with an abundance of Warrigal greens? I normal just use it in a stir fry but this takes it to the next level.

03.01.2022 Good morning folks, I’m here at the Gingin Christmas markets at the historic railway siding. Come down and say hello and find your self some unique Chrissy presents. Have a great range of bush tucker plants once again and a small range of citrus trees and grape vines
