We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we live and work, the Bundjalung, Arakwal, Yaegl, Gumbaynggirr, Githabul, Dunghutti and Birpai Nations, and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respect...s to elders past, present and future and pledge to support the wellbeing and resilience of Aboriginal people through our efforts to address health inequities. #InThisTogether2020 #NRW2020

16.01.2022 RPA Virtual Hospital opened on 3 February with just six nurses. #COVID-19 has caused it to scale up far quicker than had been envisaged, and it now has more than 30 nurses, as well as medical and allied health teams, and 600 registered patients. The health sector has a long history of resisting reform, but RPA Virtual Hospital is an example of the pandemic driving innovations that otherwise may have taken years, if not decades, of incremental changes. 10.01.2022 "So, this year, across the country, Aboriginal community-controlled health services sprang into action, swapping public messaging and material, and working together to inform their own mob in a time when confusion was spreading nearly as fast as the virus." A great look into how Indigenous communities got in front of the pandemic.
