21.01.2022 This weekend every year, we take our art to Balingup Medieval Carnivale... cancelled this year due to the virus... but our studio is still open... Clay Dragon Arts.... Visitors are welcomed at the busy working studio/ gallery, which was created over 40 years ago by Cindy Armanasco...... After graduating in fine Arts at Perth’s Claremont Art School, Cindy bought the all but derelict property in Mullalyup in 1980 & accidentally, discovered the local glacial clay... Which was a godsend as digging potatoes & picking fruit to make ends meet wasn’t the youthful dream she had arrived with... Cindy went in search of a pottery wheel, eventually borrowing one & a book on how to... and Clay Dragon Arts was born... One of the beautiful things about art is it’s incredibly fluid and for ever evolving... Although also passionate about stone carving & having exhibited extensively in both mediums, unique clay sculpture in particular and sustainable, earth friendly stoneware pottery, seem to be the main themes... The studio/gallery has quite a following & is well worth a visit with hundreds of artworks on display. You may also enjoy a behind the scenes look at the engine room. Every piece Is 100% handmade in the studio, even the vibrant glazes... Just bring us your idea or a picture & we will draw it up for you on the spot & quote. If you don’t absolutely love what we create for you, there is no obligation to buy...
