At The Dental Surgery Newstead, we treat every case individually, we do a thorough examination and set recall periods according to an individuals risk of both caries (decay) and periodontal disease (gum disease). We discuss the reasons for recall with each individual, and this varies from 3 months for those at high risk of gum disease to 18 months for low risk individuals. We may also provide only an examination if it is deemed appropriate at the time of recall - the cleaning part is only offered if deemed clinically necessary. If you have any questions please speak with either our reception team or your clinician at your next appointment.

Were happy he made the move to join our team! What is it that drives you to work in the dental industry? A love for problem solving, creating and helping people with their health & wellbeing. Pondering one day on what career could bring all my interests together in one - my interests being science, des...ign, health & working on tangible things. During my own orthodontic treatment, I realised that dentistry and its avenues was the solution! When you arent at the Dental Surgery, what could we find you doing? Anything outdoors & with my family. I like to cycle, road and mountain bike & also head into the mountains. I also enjoy tinkering with geeky things Favourite place in the world? Hard question!
