22.01.2022 We are pleased to advise our valued patients that Level 3 Restrictions on Dental Treatment have now been downgraded to Level 2 Restrictions. Our practice will re-open on a restricted basis from Monday 27th April 2020. We are now able to see pre-screened patients for all Routine and Emergency Examinations, Toothaches, Fillings, Broken Teeth, Inlays, Root Canal Therapy and Orthodontic Treatment. We will be in contact with you soon if we had an appointment in place for you duri...ng Level 3 Restrictions to reschedule this. Each Patient will be assessed on a case by case basis and we will perform treatment that is appropriate under the current restrictions for each case. For the safety of our patients and staff our door will still remain closed and it is best to discuss your current dental needs with us by calling 02 9484 4349 or emailing [email protected]. If you have any concerning dental issues that have arisen during this time, please do not hesitate to contact our office by phone or email. Unfortunately at this time, we are still unable to perform all dental procedures especially aerosol producing procedures that pose a high risk of transmission for the Patient, Dentist or Supporting Staff, this includes Scaling and Cleaning, Dental Implants, Elective Surgical Procedures, Tooth Extractions, Crowns and Bridges may still need to be postponed along with other Cosmetic and Teeth Whitening procedures. We will advise all our patients once we are back to Level 1 Restrictions. We look forward to welcoming you back.

12.01.2022 An Important Message from The Dental Touch re: COVID-19 From Thursday 19th of March 2020, The Dental Touch has implemented the following precautionary measures: During this time our front door will be kept closed during business hours YES, WE ARE OPEN... Our priority and foremost concern is preserving the health and safety of all patients, staff and their families. To continue to be able to provide safe dental care and minimise the risk of COVID-19 acquisition or transmission we are reducing the number of people visiting / physical contact in our practice with our patients during their dental treatment and our staff. Dental appointment bookings will be taken by phone 02 9484 4349 or email [email protected] We kindly ask at this present time that you reconsider visiting our practice to book your appointment. Our staff will allow only pre-screened patients/parents/guardians with appointments to enter the practice. During the pre-screening process, please expect to be asked the following information prior to your dental appointment: Have you or a close contact travelled on a plane (domestic or international) within the last 14 days? Have you or a close contact been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 2-3 weeks? Have you or a close contact been unwell with fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath, body aches or flu like symptoms? Stringent infection control protocols are always in place at The Dental Touch. In addition to our existing infection control procedures, we will be disinfecting surfaces in waiting area and door handles between patients. If we cannot answer your call immediately, please leave a message with your name, phone number and reason for your call and we will return your call you as soon as possible. Dr Hany Gerges and his staff at The Dental Touch thank you for your patience and consideration during this time. Should you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email.
05.01.2022 COVID-19 Update from The Dental Touch During these uncertain times, we are deeply concerned about the health and wellbeing of our clients and staff during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Unfortunately the restrictions now placed on dental treatment have progressed to Level 3 as instructed by the governing bodies and recommended by the Australian Dental Association. This is to ensure that the virus cannot be transmitted during dental procedures as they pose a high risk of transmission... to the Dentist, Patient or Supporting Staff. This means that only extremely essential treatment is to be carried out where severe pain, swelling or infection is present or an extraction is needed. All other aerosol producing procedures and non-essential dental procedures must be postponed until further notice. We hope that by the 1st May 2020 we may have a clearer forecast of where we are at with the virus transmission through the community and whether the period of isolation and social distancing is to be upgraded, downgraded or kept the same. We have decided to close our practice for the time being however we are still contactable by phone and email to answer any of your concerns and triage patients with the extreme need to see the Dentist. Please call 02 94844349 or email [email protected] if you need to talk to us and if you have any concerns regarding current or future dental treatment. My staff and I at The Dental Touch thank you for your patience and understanding during this extremely difficult time. Should you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email. Yours Sincerely, Dr Hany Gerges
