17.01.2022 Apricots? Delicious. Apricot scrub? If you're subscribed to our email newsletter, you will have learned that St Ives Exfoliating Scrub were involved in a law suit over misleading information & harmful ingredients. In 2018, plaintiffs in the St. Ives lawsuit claimed two things: that the crushed walnut powder creates microscopic tears in your skin, exposing it to infections and irritation, and that its label's claim of being noncomedogenic (i.e, it doesn't clog pores...) was not correct. You know what else? The 'dermatalogically tested' messaging is misleading, because - who is to say that it's dermatologically recommended? *Sigh* we could talk at LENGTH about the scratchy, inflammatory effects of physical exfoliants! Our recommendation? Opt for a gentle enzyme exfoliator! If you want to exfoliate your skin, you should use an enzyme exfoliant (that gently 'munches' away at dead skin cells) over a physical, scratchy exfoliant like apricot scrub. Physical exfoliants scratch & aggravate your skin, doing more harm than good! & don't even get me started on the fragrances, colourants etc that add to this disaster.

"I always had relatively good skin growing up other then the standard teenage breakouts...up until about three years ago and I stopped taking the pill. We went from being open 3 days a week and occupying one room to a whole floor and booked out for the next 8 weeks. Delivering clear skin is the crux of what we do, (on a physical level). However, with that comes immeasurable emotional results for our clients. Bad skin = low self esteem and self worth. Clear Skin = confidence.

03.01.2022 We christened our baby boy yesterday. To be be brutally honest we are not hugely religious, even though we were both raised Catholic. Aside from the ceremony which in itself was lovely, the chance to gather, albeit in a controlled (COVIDSafe) manner, was incredible. So much more so, post COVID than pre. I just feel so much more gratitude for being able to get together with special family and friends, 20 to be exact. So many people lent a hand to make it a beautiful day. We are surrounded by wonderful people. The end.
