24.01.2022 Hey guys! The end of the year is fast approaching. Now schools out for year 12 and some Uni's I have some amazing help on hand. Check online weekly for opening appointments and like my FB page to stay updated. Spaces will become available when help is available. We will try to get as many dogs looking fabulous before Christmas but remember it's humanity over vanity when it comes to grooming. We put the dogs needs first to ensure they have a pain free and clean coat. We make t...hem look as beautiful as possible but keep in mind, if your dog is over 50% matted his coat will need to go short. Book online via the facebook page and check back weekly. 23.01.2022 Happy Winter! I'm loving this weather! Thanks for supporting local, it has kept me super busy over the past few weeks. I groom one on one in the salon and if your dog is well behaved you are more than welcome to hang around too. I have a hot steamy hydrobath where your dog will go into a blissful daze while receiving his very berry facial and all over body massage. He won't want to get out! Once he is fully dried the grooming process begins for those having a clip. He will get an all over detailed clip to get through the winter knot free. He will also receive a manicure and pedicure. 07.01.2022 This little boy had his first trip to Bunnings last weekend. He was such a good boy. He was on his way to visit Grandma for the first time now he is allowed to socialise with friends and familys dogs only. In another four weeks he will finally be allowed to go for beach walks!! Yay!! The joys of puppy life. If you have a puppy, The Dog Boutique offers free puppy grooms up to 5 months of age. This gets them ready for the grooming world from a young age. The free puppy groom... involves a bath, partial blow dry to start with, nail, paw and face trim. During these appointments, it is more about the puppy enjoying the experience. If they become too stressed, the session ends with just lots of cuddles. Eventually they become use to the bath and blow dry and you'll be amazed at how their behaviour changes. It's important for them to build trust with the groomer. My personal advice is to stick with the one groomer so they build that bond. If your dog has any kind of long hair with matting it is time to book him in to the groomer. Matting will start to pull on his skin causing irritation, potential bruising and redness. 03.01.2022 As the weather cools down it is so important to groom your dogs coat regularly especially if you want your dogs coat long. I recommend a 4 weekly booking, one for a maintenance groom and the next, a full groom. If the coat is maintained and knot free, a long clip can be achieved keeping your dogs coat manageable during winter. He will thank you for it and in the long run will save you the headache of paying double to have it all shaved off once the warmer months arrive.
