19.01.2022 UPDATED INFO for our Junior Cricket Grading Day on Sunday!

19.01.2022 JUNIOR TEAM GRADING / ALLOCATION DAY Date - Sunday 27 September Where: Jubilee Oval, Long Jetty When: Under 11s: 9am - 10:30am... Under 16s: 11am - 12:30pm Under 12/13/14s: 1pm - 3pm COVID REQUIREMENTS: Please arrive a few minutes early so that you can sign in and register your child using our Club QR Code. All players must bring their own cricket equipment including a ball. Sharing is not an option at the moment. CCCA has announced that there will be no Under 13 competition. All Under 13 players will now be playing in the various Under 14 competitions (Stage 2 & 3). This is the reason why the 12/13/14s are the same time slot as we need to balance out players across the Stages so that we can fill teams evenly. New players or players that haven’t registered to date are encouraged to do so this week. It’s not too late. If anyone has any questions or if your child is unable to attend then please advise Rob Goldie on 0415 117539

18.01.2022 ! . ' .... In the inaugural Masters (over 40’s) competition we had our first game today against Warnervale in very hot conditions. Winning the toss the Gulls opted to bat and got off to a flying start with Scott Macintosh and Rob Gray setting an early pace. The team batted superbly with Scott McIntosh 45* (retired) Troy Hatch 40* (retired) Ash Hardy 40* (retired) Scott Allardice 30* Everyone contributed to a very good score of 274 off our 40 overs. With plenty of runs on the board the bowlers did an amazing job and special mention to Sean Knight, Scott Allardice, Rob Gray, Ash Hardy, Troy Hatch and Stu Smith who toiled away in stinking heat and a dead pitch to get us the win. Special mention to Ian Wells who not only took his first wicket in cricket ever, but backed it up with a second. We won't talk about the third that could have been. Fielding, relatively speaking was sensational if only for a couple of blemishes for a group of old guys in extreme heat. Overall it was a great performance with a great group of guys. We also want to congratulate the Warnervale Wildcats Cricket Club team who ensured that in tough conditions the game was played in the right spirit. We all have Ice Baths out and looking forward to the next game! The Full Match Scorecard will be available here soon http://theentrancecc.nsw.cricket.com.au//pu/rv/match.aspx #gullsnation

15.01.2022 Junior Report Round 6 Youth Team - lost... The boys finished another Two Day Game last Friday evening. Week 1 the boys did it tough with the ball on a small boundary field at Erina Oval. Terrigal amassed a whooping 280 with Cooper Wright picking up the most wickets with two. A week later when the boys batted they were in all sorts at 4 for 5. The boys then started making partnerships and getting valuable time in the middle on the turf deck. Connor Holmes top scored with 50 off 54 and is his first fifty of his career. Riley Armstrong was next best with a gritty 19 off 52. U/11 Blue - won The boys won easily today against a brave Wyong team struck down by illness. When it came time to bat Reese achieved another career best with 45 off 18. Max Fletcher also had a good dig hitting 31 off 17 with this being his highest score ever. Under 11 White - won In a fairly close match the boys had another win. In the batting department it was definitely a game of personal bests. Chayse Dobson was the other wicket taker this time thanks to Lucas catching one. The other wicket was a run out involving Chayse and Noah Passafaro. The boys batted first posting 7 for 181. Join top scorers were Blake Hawkins and Zac Burling with 36 runs. For Zac when he retired on 36 after 45 balls it was his highest score of his career. Noah Shelvey picked up his first wicket for the season and Aidan Smythe grabbed his first wickets for the season with figures of 2 for 6. Thanks Rob
