When you feel affected by lifes challenges, its important to first and foremost be kind Youve probably heard @theellenshow daily mantra of be kind to one another (which we LOVE ) although we truly believe that you have to be kind to yourself first before being kind to others. Its something to live by and practice compassion towards yourself and self love. Hope everyones had a restful, kind and regenerative weekend

08.01.2022 Tips to manage your negative emotions: Feel a feeling through and aim to not have a negative emotion stick Feel it to heal it Its important to work through your negative emotions because they have a negative impact if you hold onto them. Sometimes you can project your negative feelings onto others impacting relationships, emotional suppression, emotional reactions can be disproportionate to the situation eg. Ever found yourself breaking down over burnt toast? Ne...gative emotions can often lead to blame of others or frustration with yourself The negative emotions are fuelled by destructive thought patterns and even deeper limiting beliefs that are unhelpful for daily life If you go with your negative emotions then you can build assumptions that are far from reality Take care of you and try not to pour from an empty cup. You have to fill it and invest in yourself to pour for others Work through your feelings so that others behaviours dont affect/control you Practice empathy and acknowledge that everyone is unique in the way they live their lives. Not everyone will have your point of view (acceptance) Live in a way that you can rest your head on your pillow at night. Life by your own beliefs and values Limit your exposure to news, social media and confronting stories Practice self care Learn to listen to your negative emotions and the messages that theyre trying to communicate to you #ethospsychology #psychology #negativeemotions
