15.01.2022 Head to the Holden Muster today at the old Motors Holden building in South Burnie from 10am until 2pm. There is an amazing show of Holden vehicles from all ages. Gold coin donation to enter with all money going to 4 year old Isla. PLUS The Fairy Godmothers are manning the sausage sizzle so please come and say hi and buy yourself a snack. ... Isla has a very rare disease called Rasmussens Encephalitis. There are only 500 known cases worldwide, 12 in Australia and Isla is only the second from Tasmania. This disease impacts one hemisphere of the brain, where inflammation progressively destroys brain cells, resulting in multiple seizures, loss of vision, cognitive impairment, hemiparesis and if left untreated, the child could die. The only definitive treatment is a hemispherectomy (which is a disconnection of the right-hand side of her brain). This surgery comes with irreversible consequences, including the possibility that Isla will be vision impaired and partially paralysed. Her family have opted to have the surgery at the beginning of September in Melbourne. Let’s help Motors reach the goal of $80,000

14.01.2022 It has been a year since Briarna grew her wings. We had the honour and privilege of not only meeting Briarna but getting to know this beautiful and courageous girl. Briarna stole our hearts from the moment we met her and when she left us here on earth, she took a piece of our hearts with her. We remember Briarna for her sense of humour (boy did she make us laugh), her love of life, her indescribable strength and her kindness and compassion for others. Even though she was goin...g through so much she was doing whatever she could for others. She is and and will forever be our Fairy Godmother. There have been numerous circumstances that have delayed Shanika’s big hair cut but we are so excited to announce that it is finally happening tomorrow. I think Allison enjoyed her ride This was donated in memory of Shanika’s friend and school mate Dylan Wescombe who grew his angel wings on the 2nd of October 2017 at the age of 11. Dylan’s Mum and dad Tamara and Brendon, also helped to raise money to purchase a second Raizer Hosit Lift for North West Support Schools Devonport campus. The successful applicants will be generously volunteering their time to assist with the day to day running of the store. ... Hours and days are negotiable Trading Hours of The Fairies Haven are Mon-Fri 10am-4pm Saturday 10-2pm Providing exceptional customer service Processing sales and using our POS system Efficient money handling Merchandising and maintaining excellent store standards Pricing, stock replenishment and stocktake Cleaning and housekeeping Centrelink approved volunteer hours available Successful applicants will be required to sign up as a Volunteer of The Fairy Godmothers Inc and agree to a National Police Check being obtained.
