13.01.2022 We have made the tough decision to close Faux temporarily. The further restrictions to indoor gatherings has made it unfeasible for us to operate. Being an intimate nightclub with very little floor space, complying with these new regulations would limit us to having approx 25 people or fewer in the venue at any given time we’d have to cut security and DJs, and we think no music reduces what we offer here at Faux. 25 people standing 4sq metres apart in a weird silent disco... doesn’t sound fun to us, and so we doubt it sounds fun to you guys. We understand and respect the decisions for other clubs to continue to operate But our tiny floor space limits us from comfortably doing so. This isn’t a forever thing. We are just doing what we think is right for now. This is just a breather while the world sorts itself out. We will be back as soon as we feel able. 09.01.2022 We are open this weekend. With the Government’s ban on non-essential gatherings of 100 people or more, we will be capping our capacity to 100 people. With a normal capacity of 141 for us, this isn’t too different to our regular trade so expect the same Faux with some extra precautionary measures taken by staff and patrons (hand sanitiser at the door, deep clean procedure, single use straws, routine door handle disinfecting) If you are feeling unwell take a bit of time off the sesh and stay home for everyone’s benefit.
