16.01.2022 Ever wondered how much money you need to save to make a million dollars? The answer depends on how early you start. Thankfully, you can still have a positive impact on your financial future even if you start later in life but if youre 60 years old and just beginning to think about financial freedom, you have a lot of work to do. If youre 20 however, you have an extra forty years to set yourself up for financial success. This extra time makes a significant difference!

14.01.2022 Most of the market volatility in recent times has been due to fears of an impending recession in the US, in Australia, in Europe. Lets put this nervousness in context. https://lnkd.in/gCd3feu

12.01.2022 For the second straight month, major stock markets around the world made impressive gains. While some express the opinion that this rate of growth is unsustainable, we are of the opinion that nearly all of these recent gains just take us back to September before the US Federal Reserve (the Fed) chair made comments that sent markets into a tailspin. #stockmarket #financialplanner #investing #investmentportfolio #financialadvice #finance

06.01.2022 Whats going to happen to interest rates? Any Australian with a mortgage would be dreading the day the RBA finally decided to raise interest rates, which has stalled at an al time low of 1.50% since August 2016. Thats until RBA governor Philip Lowe have us all an early Valentines Day gift, by revealing that they were seriously considering decreasing rates instead. Imagine a cash rate reduced to 1.25% or even 1.00%! Thats much sweeter than a bouquet or fresh roses.... Its great that your home will cost less to live in, but why is this happening? i) Household consumption is low. People arent spending because wages growth is still minimal. Also, the downturn of the property market has reduced perceived wealth & made spenders more cautious. ii) High levels of debt & increasing future uncertainty have left some unprepared Aussie families vulnerable to any form of market volatility. Good news for home loan owners. Bad news for the general economy. Either way, the key is to keep informed & be prepared for whats around the corner. More specifically, lower rates may give you leverage to negotiate & refinance a cheaper loan. Furthermore, reduced consumer spending suggests household should prioritise a savings fund for the short-term. Opportunities can always pop-up from anywhere. To know more about how to find them, Ask the Financial Advisor. Article: https://www.theguardian.com//rba-says-it-could-cut-interes

05.01.2022 Its an election year and Im afraid.

03.01.2022 I thought I would share this letter that a client recently received from their lender. 6 months ago this client approached their lender for a discount on their home loan rate. That discount was eventually approved only for them to receive TWO letters from their lender to to increase the interest rate - the last letter being received in Jan 2019. To put it into context, the last time the RBA increased interest rate was back in 2010.... Next time someone says that interest rates wont go up for 2 years, refer to this letter and tell them interest rates are already rising. What are your thoughts?

02.01.2022 If youve been putting off writing your financial plan, youre not alone. Writing a financial plan can seem like a daunting task, and lots of very smart people avoid it for this reason. But it doesnt have to be, and it can be as easy as starting with just one page.
