19.01.2022 Nissan Skyline R33 GTR V-Spec - Custom Detail Package This GTR was in serious need of a make-over, the paintwork had definitely seen better days. The bonnet, roof, and boot were all heavily oxidized/faded and the rest of the car had swirls, scuffs and scratches all over. To put it into perspective, the average cars paint will measure between 130 - 180 microns thick. The roof on this GTR measured an average of 50 microns. An average piece of printing paper is around 120 micron...s. All of this means extreme care had to be taken when machine polishing the paint in order to not burn through the clear coat and preserve as much paint as possible whilst removing oxidation and bringing the colour back to life.
