I want to let you know that The Food Centre will be temporarily closed from the 17th Sept to 2nd of Oct to allow us to carry our necessary and essential repairs and renovations. The planned renovations are for your benefit and I hope you will appreciate our new look store with new and modern attractive surroundings for your comfort and convenience. These renovations have been made possible through our hard work to securing a very large and generous donation from a local benefactor for the customers of The Food Centre and an acknowledgement of the great community work provided by the volunteers of The Food Centre. We will continue with our free bread service each day during the renovations and I welcome all our patrons to avail of this continued service. I do apologise to you our loyal customers for this inconvenience and I hope you will continue to support and enjoy the new facilities of The Food Centre following its completion. 13.01.2022 Have a look at some of our garden wonders! There are some herbs that are ready to be eaten and they are in the supermarket today for free. And we have some little rocket, carrot and spring onion seeds sprouting ready to grow into seedlings for our community to take home and plant. We have also given some of the tomatoes and herbs to the cooks here at the Food Centre to use for some of the cafe lunches. And we have used some of the fresh mint for a yummy tea. ... Looking forward to seeing the garden continue to grow, come down and check it out if you haven't already!
