This will be an inspiring and revealing talk which will arm you with knowledge and wisdom that is rarely understood in todays drug-centred, germ-phobic world. 24.01.2022 Inflammation can occur when the person has been exposed to long-standing stress, resulting in anxiety, hyperactivity and malabsorption. It can occur as a result of taking pharmaceutical medications, particularly antibiotics, and also as a result of recreational drugs and excessive alcohol. Some viruses can trigger inflammatory reactions, the most common being Epstein Barr virus (EBV) and cytomegalovirus (CMV). These appear to have an affinity for several digestive organs ...including the liver, pancreas and gall bladder, and can extend their effects to other glands, such as kidneys, adrenals and thyroid. They can also affect the central nervous system including the brain in some cases. Subscribe to our magazine to read more of this article! https://www.health.org.au/subscribe/

23.01.2022 The social distance video question from Elizabeth, president of the NHS, was chosen as interesting but not included in Q&A, the panel discussion programme on the ABC. What would your answer be? How can the government include the importance of good nutrition in the fight against the severity of this pandemic?

22.01.2022 Coronavirus half the story is being missed. By Roger French, Health Director, Natural Health Society The Federal Governments medical advisers appear to have forgotten some of their elementary training, and this is that our bodies have powerful defences against pathogenic microorganisms our immune systems. However, our immune systems are only fully effective if they are strong and the body as a whole needs to be strong, that is, healthy. ** Read the full article here https://www.health.org.au//coronavirus-half-the-story-is-/

22.01.2022 An excellent recipe for a healthier Anzac biscuit. Our knowledge of nutrition has progressed since World War II. While these biscuits are still a sweet treat, the maple syrup is far less processed than golden syrup that is traditionally used in Anzac biscuits. Coconut sugar is a lower GI alternative compared to white sugar and provides small amounts of nutrients that arent found in white sugar. The goodness of rolled oats, an excellent source of beta-glucan soluble fibre that helps to reduce cholesterol; combined with wholemeal spelt flour, provides healthy wholegrains to balance out the sweetness.

22.01.2022 We love farmers markets! The activated walnuts are new to us. Soaking them to activate and then drying them to keep. Brilliant! The giant garlic is ready to plant and the bottled rhubarb and peaches are a winter treat.

13.01.2022 1. Stay inside 2. Watch too much television 3. Eat comfort food 4. Buy special cleaning products 5. Worry about things you have no control over... 5 things To Do instead 1. Get outside as much as possible. Breathe deeply in fresh air to keep your lungs strong and healthy. Listen to nature. Get your vitamin D from sunshine. 2. Read a book or articles on good health. Have a look at the Natural Health Society website. Buy the e book How a Man lived in 3 Centuries from Amazon for $10.42 to understand the basic principles of natural health. 3. Eat nutritious food with plenty of salad and raw vegetables Have fun experimenting with a raw food meal or choose the healthy options with recipes. 4. Unless youre in close contact or living with someone who is infected, you dont have to obsessively clean everything. Basic hygiene and general cleaning in communal areas will help limit the spread of the virus. An analysis of 22 studies on sister viruses to COVID-19 (such as SARS) showed that human coronavirus can persist on inanimate surfaces like metal, glass or plastic for up to nine days, but can be efficiently inactivated by simple disinfecting. Chlorine bleach, strong detergents and isopropyl alcohol solutions and hydrogen peroxide are all good antiviral surface cleaners, but a good scrub with soap and water using a clean cloth will also do the job. 5. Managing stress is critical to boosting your immunity and your mood. Get a good night sleep and remember that this will pass. Keep in contact with positive people and laugh at all the brilliant Facebook jokes and parodies. Reach out for professional help if you are struggling. See more
