21.01.2022 Just a bit of history, 47 years ago today the first Civil Marriage Celebrant was appointed. This was an Australian first but also a world first and has changed the lives of couples across Australia allowing them to marry in the way that is meaningful to them. How lucky we were to have had such a progressive Attorney-General. What an amazing man The Honourable Lionel Murphy was.

20.01.2022 Today I was due to marry my beautiful niece and her lovely partner at Canyonleigh Community Hall in the Southern Highlands. We rescheduled for March next year when we can all stand together, hug and kiss, and celebrate by dancing the night away. I am so looking forward to marrying them and having the whole family together.

17.01.2022 I popped up to Tea Gardens today to meet with a gorgeous couple to complete their Notice of Intended Marriage form. I then spent the whole day just enjoying the spenders of the area. Everyone should take time out to just take it all in. A beautiful 24 degree winter day certainly helped.

12.01.2022 Well today would have been my grandmother and grandfather's 85th wedding anniversary. Reg, my grandfather, was killed in the Second World War over France and he was her one true love and she never remarried. My amazingly talented sister, Fiona Fudge, did this beautiful watercolour to celebrate.

12.01.2022 Ok so I have been bunkered down during this emotionally challenging time and held off posting anything as I felt just too emotional for all the couples out there trying to plan their perfect wedding day in this torrid time. As of today we are able to have weddings with 20 people which is wonderful and we are heading in the right direction for bigger numbers in the not too distant future. 12.01.2022 Hip hip hooray ... I'm ready for my first wedding since Covid washed onto our shores and spoilt our party. It was so lovely to drive up the Valley for the wedding rehearsal and as I pulled into the drive of the property a few raindrops fell. I turned around and saw this beautiful rainbow. Oh I am so looking forward to tomorrow that I want to cry. ... Kath and Karl have brought such joy to me since we signed their Notice of Intention to Marry form last year and I can't wait until I can declare them husband and wife

11.01.2022 I had lunch with my two beautiful celebrant friends for Christmas but also to reflect on what a challenging year it has been for so many. We are fortunate to work with amazing couples who, regardless of the obstacles put in their way this year, have soldiered on and celebrated their love and commitment to one another with sometimes just a few, or simply those that could travel and occasionally everyone they wanted to be there. A big congratulations to you all for not only getting through this year but organising your wedding in such uncertain times.

06.01.2022 Mount View, August 2020 From our first meeting, Mel made everything so easy and fun and just put my husband and I both at ease through the whole process. Even when having to postpone our day due to covid, Mel worked with us and checked in habitually to make sure we were coping alright. When our day finally arrived Mel was so professional as well as fun and friendly and just felt like one of the gang! She made our ceremony so personal and fun and put smiles on everyone’s faces. Everyone raved about how lovely she was!! We could not recommend her enough! Thanks again Mel for everything

05.01.2022 Your wedding day should be full of fun and laughter and this is exactly what we had during Ingrid and Olivier’s ceremony at the amazing Kalinya Estate. I love this photo of Ingrid and Olivier back on the 29 February 2020. They will have to ensure that every wedding anniversary is worth 4! Luckily their friends and family were able to come from all around the world before the madness hit.
