16.01.2022 Meet Thryptomene, native Australian powerhouse and key ingredient in many of our products. Thryptomene is a small shrub found all around the Mount Zero Olive Grove. It's hardy and drought tolerant, and you'll recognise its delicate perfume from our products. We gather thryptomene from around the farm and distill its leaves and flowers to extract its essential oil (no nasty synthetic essential oils here!).... As our Founder Jane says, "Unlike most skincare products which often contain up to 30 ingredients and have the potential to cause long-term illness, I created The Girl and the Olive products to be free of artificial chemicals and genetically modified ingredients. This makes them beneficial without cause for concern."
