13.01.2022 I’m Mark, 38-year-old Central Coast man. Before completing The Glen program, I used drugs and alcohol for 26 years. I completed The Glen program in August 2019 and am currently three years clean and sober. Whilst at The Glen I was lucky enough to do programs that helped me grow into a better person and father to my son. I was able to identify problems that I had and was given the opportunity to participate in parenting programs, cooking classes, counselling sessions and more.... I learnt how to have fun, make friend and enjoy life without the use of drugs and alcohol. Life is a lot more manageable and enjoyable today. The start of getting clean and sober was hard but well worth it with the life I have today. Today I live a structured life which involves training, doing programs and spending quality time with my son. Today I have friends that help me with staying on the right path and I am now working on a career pathway that will allow me to have a working life but still have the boding relationship with my son. 08.01.2022 Last Thursday, The Glen were out at Ourimbah State Forest picking up litter. We are working in partnership with Visit NSW State Forests and the EPA to keep the forest clean! We've only made a small dent so far, and will be out there MONTHLY, Anyone who is up for a CHALLENGE, COME JOIN US!!!
