25.01.2022 Our beautiful little son Freddie Anthony Critchley arrived on 12 September and has already filled our lives with so much love. He’s a happy little monster and I can tell that he already loves plants which is great considering now the heir to the TGG throne! Liz and Freddie are both doing well and we’re enjoying spending these first days together as a new little family of three. Endless love for this little man and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him. Big love to all, and thanks for your support in these magical times.

25.01.2022 Living Colour Spring 2020 is about to end. Here’s a few updated photos of how it was looking last time I was in town. Crazy amounts of flowers, masses of (living) colour and lots of people out enjoying them and taking photos. A great honour to be a part of this project. Keep your eyes out for the Living Colour Christmas displays which we be coming in soon! . . #livingcolour @cityofsydney @thegreengallerynursery #flowers #collaboration #livingflowers #spring #2020 #petunias #pansies #foxgloves #delphiniums #lobularia #salvias #geraniums #kale @ Sydney, Australia

24.01.2022 ‘The Great Gatsby’. One of the highlights of my career at The Green Gallery was undoubtedly being involved in this amazing Baz Luhrmann film starring Leonardo DiCaprio. I watched it last night with Liz for the first time since seeing it at the cinema with the TGG gang way back in 2013. It was by far our biggest order back then and an absolutise honour to supply all of the ‘living’ flowering potted plants in the movie. We’ve been lucky enough to be involved with a bunch of other ‘Hollywood’ movies since then, but this one is for sure my favourite! . . . #thegreatgatsby #hollywood #proud #movie #careerhighlight #2013 #nurserylife #wholesalenursery #flowers #cinema #sydney #bazluhrmann @thegreengallerynursery @ Sydney, Australia

22.01.2022 The Green Gallery’s plants are featured this month on the front cover of @gardeningaustraliamag and have a cracking 5 page spread full of our colourful flowers and ways to use them to brighten your garden for Christmas. Titled Christmas in the Garden it’s a flower buffet with some of TGG’s favourite crops used for instant effect. Need to jazz up your place pronto? TGG’s stock can do just that! . . . #gardeningaustralia #gardening #australia #thegreengallerynursery #flowers #christmas #spring #summer #colourfulpots #xmas #gardens #combinations #santascoming @ Sydney, Australia

22.01.2022 We’ve got amazing stock flying out the door, and have been for months! It’s the spring that keeps on springing! Some very cool new varieties that I have been keen to grow for a while now on the menu! Running out of everything - get some while you can! . . . #spring #2020 #flowers #blooms #newrelease #nurserylife #wholesalenursery #nemesia #diascia #viola #pansy #calibrachoa #bidens #salvia #sunflower #worldclass @ The Green Gallery

22.01.2022 One of the many joys of this job is the people you meet and the places you go! I went in to the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney yesterday for a meeting with Dave Laughlin, the Curator Manager and was lucky enough to get a guided visit to some of the plant installs we have worked on together. The Greenwall at the Calyx, and the spring walk to name a few. The gardens are looking amazing at the moment, head in there for some socially distanced plant fun times! @ The Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney

20.01.2022 Verbena Vanessa Bright Pink. The colour is electric and hard to really capture through the lens. Verbenas have a bit of a reputation as troublesome plants, but that’s the old skool varieties, these new ones are banging! They’re grown outside in all that rain we’ve had and look amazing! . . . #verbena #vanessa #verbenavanessa #flowers #spring #summer @ballaustralia @panamseed #newskool #electricpink @colouryourworld11 @ The Green Gallery

19.01.2022 Living Colour Spring 2020 is on display now! I managed to sneak into the city today to see how they are looking, and I am very happy. Lots of flowers now, and plenty more to come (some of our spring favourites - delphiniums, foxgloves etc are going to be amazing soon!) I’ll try to get some more photos as the displays develop, but the best way to enjoy them is to see them for yourselves! Social distancing friendly, there’s no excuse not to visit them! . . . #cityofsydney #livingcolour #flowers #spring @ St Mary's Cathedral College, Sydney

19.01.2022 The many different versions of the night sky of Petunia Night Sky!! One of my favourite perennial petunias ever! Each flower is unique and the name says it all! . . #petunianightsky #pollinator #colouryourworld #flowers #spring

18.01.2022 Heuchera aka Coral Bells. One of my favourite plants that we grow. They come in a huge array of colours, and as it is mainly the foliage that is most attractive, they always look good! They can take some serious cold, and shade, so are perfect for those difficult spots in the garden. I love putting them indoors too! . . #heuchera #coralbells #winter #gardening #plants #noflowersneeded

17.01.2022 Everyone that knows TGG knows that we grow a lot of osteos! Lots of varieties. Lots of colours. One year we did 80 different colours! Thankfully not this year.. but we have a lot of choice. We picked the best of the best and we grow them well. But we’re almost running out... So get your orders in now, this spring is bonkers already, and it’s only just begun!!

17.01.2022 Happy first day of spring! Our favourite time of the year! So many cool plants flying out the door. Plenty of new and amazing colours and shapes as well as our tried and tested favourites! I’m predicting an epic spring - let the good time’s roll! . . #spring #2020 #flowers #osteospermum #pansy #diascia #newrelease #nemesia #gaura

16.01.2022 There’s something about ranunculus that gets me every time! Hundreds of overlapping petals in bright colours that Jeep unfurling as they season progresses. I love growing these, and even though we only do a few hundred, I would never want a start to spring without them! . . #spring #bulbs #ranunculus #flowers #nurserylife #sydney

15.01.2022 An early morning visit to the Calyx with my fiancée Liz who is 39.5 weeks pregnant before baby Critchley enters the world! Got to check out our plants in the display, and they were looking great! It’s an amazing exhibition called inBLOOM!! And there’s no hiding why, the whole place is full of flowers! But there’s also a display bed full of awesome so called ‘indoor plants’ - huge anthuriums, begonias, bromeliads, fittonias and more! It’s well worth a visit! . . . #baby #babycritchley #calyx #inbloom #2020 #greenwall #colourfulwall #flowers #blooms #teamwork #collaboration @ The Calyx

13.01.2022 Freddie’s first visit to the farm. As he arrived, the theme song of the lion king blared out over our radios as I lifted him in the air. Thanks for that Blake, so funny! I told Freddie everything the light touches is our kingdom - but we were in the Shadehouse... hahaha. It was great to introduce him to The Green Gallery family. Watty is like Prince Harry, he’s second in line to the throne now that Freddie’s on the scene! I love Freddie so much, I wish I could bring him to work everyday!! . . . #freddie #family #tgg #nurserylife #love #plants #heirtothethrone #likefatherlikeson #hebetterlikeplants #plantdaddy #humandaddy #lionking #princeharry #goodtimes # @ The Green Gallery

12.01.2022 It’s always a pleasure and an honour to walk around the Living Colour displays that TGG supplies all the plants for, in this case the first ever winter exhibit. They were looking great and have held up really well in the cool weather - plenty more flowers to come! I had a heavily pregnant Liz with me who was in charge of removing fallen leaves from surrounding trees before the all important Instagram photos are taken! Thanks @littleliz1 for your endless support in every aspect of life! Exciting times ahead, next display starts in spring the same week our little creation will be born! That should be a busy week! Can’t wait! . . . @cityofsydney @citywide_aus @sproutlandscapearchitecture @thegreengallerynursery #livingcolour #winter #flowers #collaboration #plants @ Sydney, Australia

10.01.2022 We are usually judged on the plant on top of the soil, but what’s underneath in the soil is just as important, if not more! At TGG we focus a lot of time, energy and money on creating healthy root ecosystems so that out plants are as beautiful underground as they are on top. We use a custom designed premium potting mix, world-class fertilisers, compost teas and biological inoculations, no root fungicides and correct irrigation management amongst other inputs and techniques to achieve that goal. And the results speak for themselves, check out the clean white fuzzy roots in the pansy! . . #pansy #roots #itswhatsbelowthatcounts #healthyroots #winter #nurserylife #contractgrow #flowers

09.01.2022 Coming soon - baby and plants!!! Liz had her last visit to the nursery for a while with baby Critchley due Monday! We were doing some checks of these VIP (very important plants) going in for the upcoming Living Colour Spring 2020 displays that start getting installed in about a week. The crops are looking good - the city will be full of flowering living colour soon! Exciting times ahead in so many ways! . . #baby #babycritchley #comingsoon #realsoon #livingcolour #spring #2020 #flowers #cityofsydney #wholesalenursery #nurserylife

07.01.2022 Hypoestes, aka Polka Dot Plant are just so cute! One of our favourite colourful indoor plants at The Green Gallery. Easy to look after, and a bunch of colours to choose from. Why not collect them all!

05.01.2022 It’s been a while since my last Instagram, but my lack of posting is more from being crazy busy rather than nothing to photograph! Here’s a few photos of the displays we supply @mattreid11 and his gang to brighten up the streets of Canberra with living flowers! Matt does the designs and they always look amazing and colourful! . . . #canberra #colour #flowers #collaboration #teamwork #winter #spring # @ Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

03.01.2022 Another successful flower install down in the nation’s capital! Working with @mattreid11 and his team at @citywide_aus Canberra is always a pleasure and the results look great! 03.01.2022 Very exciting to watch Better Homes and Gardens last night to see the Living Colour Summer 2020 flower program featured. Two of the stars of the LC program @mjdanelon and @mishmunda were also stars of the show, a well deserved credit to them for all the hard work that they put in to making it such a success! The flower planters looked great, and it’s always an honour to see our TGG plant babies on the little screen! Thanks Graham and team for doing a story about it! . . @bhgaus @sproutlandscapearchitecture @thegreengallerynursery @cityofsydney @citywide_aus @realgrahamross #collaboration #workingtogether #flowers #livingcolour #summer #2020 #betterhomesandgardens @ Sydney, Australia
