21.01.2022 Botanical handbag #7.... Tapestry sticks binded together using the tatami technique to create the handbag shape, glass tubes are secured for the water source, flowers and assorted botanicals all sorced from the garden!! This handbag is part of a personal challenge I set for myself a little while ago with sustainable floristry practices in mind, my aim was to create 10 designs that are foam free & made with product sourced/foraged sustainably & locally.....my personal choice to no longer use floral foam as a freelance florist was surprisingly easy although definitely challenging at times!! I have had to go back to the basics of well taught floristry techniques that I learnt many years ago! Sourcing & foraging locally is always the best part as I'm totally blown away by what is available!! Cheers Catherine xx
