24.01.2022 Looks like we won't be seeing any of The Grinning Dingo Australia supported riders riding over the crest of Lukey Heights and then getting hard on the brakes into MG Corner on the iconic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit on the 27th and 28th of this month... The #ASBK Management Team have advised that the Official ASBK - Australian Superbikes Test will not occur due to ongoing border closures and #COVID19 restrictions. However, they have said they are now seeking alternativ...e options to ensure that ASBK Paddock and riders can be provided the further testing and on-track practice prior to racing at the opening round of the ASBK Championship, which is scheduled for 19 - 21 February, which runs in conjunction with the first round of the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships. Fingers crossed we can see some testing, and more to the point, let's hope we can get a full season in of racing in 2021!! 07.01.2022 Our final #tipitintuesday for 2020, and today we are giving the spotlight to Moroccan born former racer, Victor Soussan, who now calls Australia home, living in the suburb of #Gembrook, 54 kilometres south-east of #Melbourne's Central Business District. The now 74-year-old, who competed in the MotoGP World Championship spanning from 1977 1979 racing in the World 350cc and 250cc Championship just so happens to be a good friend of The Grinning Dingo Australia.... Here is Soussan (#32), aged 29, in 1975 leading the late great Barry Sheene (#15) at Silverstone, aboard his 350 #Yamaha, with a SMAC Monocoque chassis.
