23.01.2022 We are FULLY BOOKED until the New Year. If you have an appointment you need to change or cancel please let us know as we have an extensive cancellation list. We have had quite a few clients over the last week or two cancel last minute or not attend their appointments making it impossible to fill their times. Please be considerate of us and people waiting for earlier appointments at this time of year.

22.01.2022 Our appointments are filling fast. Please call the salon to book an appointment now especially if you would like before Christmas. If we do not answer please leave a message and we will call you back as we are very busy and can not always answer the phone.

22.01.2022 We are fully booked! If you do not have an appointment booked for the rest of the year, you will now only be able to make appointments for the new year. It has been a rough year personally for Amy with many changes occuring. As such she has decided to no longer work Wednesdays and is restricting Saturday and Thursday night appointments to focus on her children. This has already been a slow process of adjustment through this year. If you do not need an appointment on those days please do the right thing and let us know. Tam will still be working Wednesdays. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.

22.01.2022 Odie had his first visit today and was such a good puppy. We cant wait to see him again.

21.01.2022 Rubi had her first visit this week and requested an Asian Influenced Style. She is such a good puppy for 4 months.

21.01.2022 As of the 1st of AUGUST we will be undergoing a PRICING RESTRUCTURE. This means that some clients pricing will go up while others will stay the same. If you have any queries on your dogs price please ask.

20.01.2022 Happy New Year!!!! I would officially like to welcome or new groomer Ashleigh to The Hairy Hound team. Some clients may have seen her in the salon through December. She is a very talented and dedicated groomer who is thriving on learning all she can and is extremely compassionate. It has been a pleasure working with her for the last month and I am glad we have another wonderful groomer for our clients. As you come into the salon you may notice some changes as we have done... a quick renovation over the holidays. Whilst the reception area is different the grooming remains the same, we just needed more space for our growing team. You may not be able to see as much into the grooming area. If you have any concerns please let me know and I am happy to discuss any issues with you. Lastly, even with our new groomers we are still booking a few weeks in advance. Please try to prebook your appointments to avoid disappointment. We have just moved to a computer based system that will automatically send sms reminders so we ask that you make sure your mobile numbers are correct.

19.01.2022 Due to COVID-19 we will be implementing our safety procedures. If you are sick or anyone you have come into contact with is sick please reschedule your appointment and stay home. If you or a family member is at high risk, we understand you may want to cancel your appointment for safety reasons. Please leave a message to let us know. ... Please use the hand sanitiser on the counter once you enter the salon. Only one client in the salon at a time. If you are required to wait for your dog please wait in your car and we can call you when we are done. This frees up the reception area for other clients. Practice social distancing when handing over your dog and interacting with staff members. Whilst we are fully booked until next year those that do need to cancel due to COVID-19 we will endeavour to accommodate you with an appointment as soon as possible. Please help keep everyone safe.

18.01.2022 Rubi came in for her second clip yesterday. Tam has been styling her in Asian inspired trims. She is a special little puppy at 8 months old.

16.01.2022 We received some beautiful flowers from a client today. THANK YOU Kingsley and Theo's mum, Monika. We truly appreciate it.

15.01.2022 Due to personal reasons Amy will no longer be working Wednesday's. She will honour all appointments already booked for Wednesday's, but will not be booking them for the future. The salon will still be open Wednesday's and the girls will be able to assist you. Amy is also looking to lessen her Saturday appointments to allow her time with her family on weekends. If you are booked in on a Saturday but can come during the week we urge you to please let us know. Thank you for your understanding and support.

15.01.2022 Charli had some colour done today. She isnt a fan of photos but we wanted to show off new groomer Tams handy work.

13.01.2022 On the 8th of September Amy and Tam will be competing at The Royal Show grooming competition. If you are heading in that day pop by the pet pavillion.

12.01.2022 Happy Easter from all the staff at The Hairy Hound. May you all enjoy the day with lots of chocolate and puppy cuddles. A reminder the salon is still open during normal business hours with a few minor changes to keep everyone safe.

12.01.2022 Opal had a big girl cut today. She is such a good puppy.

12.01.2022 What a weekend!!! Tam and Amy competed at The Royal Adelaide Show on Sunday and Tam placed Runner Up Best In Show!!!! We are super proud and excited. Tam competed in Salon Freestyle placing First in her class, Best in Group and Runner Up Best In Show with a Labradoodle, Koda. She also competed in Asian with a Cavoodle, Axel and placed First in her class and Best In Group. Amy competed in Terriers & More placing First in her class with an Airedale, Millie. She also compet...ed in Purebred Scissor placing First in her class with her Bichon, Curie. Lastly she competed in Poodle class and placed Third with her poodle, Odelle. A fellow competitor and friend Jolene Turnbull from Brisbane competed and borrowed a clients Poodle, Marly. She placed First in her class, Best In Group and Best In Show. We are so thankful to his owners for trusting us with him and letting a groomer they have never met groom their dog. We would like to thank all of our clients families for letting us take their family members for the day. We appreciate it so much and would not be able to achieve these results if its not for your trust and support. A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our newest team member Tam for her AMAZING grooms and results. We are all super proud of you and couldnt be happier you have joined our family.

11.01.2022 Bliss came in for her first visit today to get into her Bichon shape for up coming competitions. She is such a sweet, young girl. We would like to thank her mum for travelling the long distance she did to help us.

11.01.2022 As the weather this week will be above 40 degrees we will be closing the salon early each day. We will be asking clients to reschedule their appointments. As we are fully booked for the rest of the year we will be opening at 6am to accommodate those that need to move. 09.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all of our staff, family, clients, followers and of course the puppies themselves. We would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support this year, this year certainly has been one for change. We are currently closed until the 6th of January. 06.01.2022 Please if any person has travelled overseas in the past 14 days or have had contact with someone and is experiencing symptoms of fever, sore throat, cough or fatigue, we ask that they seek testing at an official COVID-19 clinic and stay at home until they get their test results. Official testing clinics are located at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Lyell McEwin Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, Womens and Childrens Hospital and SA Pathologys drive-through collection service... at the Repat. Please reschedule your dogs appointment until after you have received your results. If you show any signs of illness please take precautions. Myself and some of my staff suffer from repisiratory issues so are at a higher risk. I myself have family members with Cystic Firbosis and can not risk passing it to them. 03.01.2022 CONVID-19 POLICY UPDATE To ensure we uphold social distancing we ask that only ONE client be in the salon at a time to drop off or pick up their dogs. If you see someone in the salon please wait until they have left to enter. ALL dogs must be bought in on a lead as we will not accept dogs handed to us. ... If you require to stay with your dog during grooming please inform us before your appointment day so we can move your appointment to the first or last dog of the day to help stay within these guidelines. If you are a high risk client and would prefer not to enter the salon please arrange for someone to bring your dog in for you or call us and we will make arrangements for you. There is hand sanitiser available on the reception desk for use, please only use ONE pump as it is very hard to find in these times. We are trying to get as many clients done as possible at the moment in the possible event of a closure due to lock down. Please be patient with us as we try to manage the phone and work. At the moment WE ARE OPEN AND WILL REMAIN SO UNTIL WE ARE TOLD TO CLOSE. THANK YOU to ALL of our wonderful clients for their support and patronage during this difficult time.

02.01.2022 Patch came in for his maintenance bath and tidy today. If you are planning on keeping your dog longer this is a great way to help maintain their coat.
