08.01.2022 Meet Teresa! Teresa is passionate and dedicated physiotherapist, specialising in hand, wrist and upper limb injuries at The Hands Physio. ... She has developed a keen interest in managing complex injuries and seeks creative treatment approaches to generate optimal results for her patients. After graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Sciences, she successfully completed her postgraduate qualifications with a Masters of Physiotherapy. Teresa has delivered excellent Telehealth consultations and treatments, rapidly adapting her patients to receive effective and convenient online therapies. Feedback from patients has been overwhelmingly positive and she has seen brilliant results. Teresa is friendly, compassionate, loves to laugh and is very personable in nature, striving to understand and connect with her patients whilst delivering holistic and evidence-based approach to healthcare. Teresa is proficient in speaking Mandarin and Shanghainese. If working from home, Teresa can assist with education on ergonomic home set-ups and exercises to ensure optimal function and the minimisation of aches and pains. For children, she also runs exercise classes specifically tailored to small hand and forearm muscles in children to improve strength, dexterity and endurance for increased technology use and to assist in handwriting ability. Teresa is also passionate about public and international health. She has travelled to rural India as a volunteer physiotherapist for underprivileged communities, after receiving a scholarship for Global Citizenship and participating in the Alumni Mentoring Program. Outside of physiotherapy, Teresa maintains a strong interest in gym and fitness, baking, arts and travelling to adventurous destinations.
