21.01.2022 What a great activity this turned out to be... I set this out with the intention of teaching the children creatures that lived in the sea. For the younger children it was a locate & label activity; finding a certain creature & feeding it to the shark or using language skills to label the sea creature before feeding the shark. For older children i encouraged them to feed the shark a set amount of creatures, creatures of certain colours or creatures starting with a particular letter. Babies enjoyed simply using their hand eye coordination to place the creatures in & out of the sharks mouth. #feedtheshark #seacreatures #literacy #math #colourrecognition #handeyecoordination #sharing #turntaking #somuchlearning #thehappycaterpillarsfdc

16.01.2022 Our floor tree for provocation, The minute the tape hit the floor & the children began seeimg a tree form they all became very busy with ideas and play... One child began colouring the tape, while another imediately began balancing along it. I left some scrap paper beside our tree too, which the younger children immediately started laying out on the floor over our tree!
