24.01.2022 We have been informed that White Ribbon Australia has decided to close its doors. We are saddened by this news. Over the past seven years, the Harcourts family, through The Harcourts Foundation, has shown tremendous courage by creating and participating in Harcourts Walk a Mile events around Australia. As One Team we have publicly made a statement that domestic violence is not ok. Together, we have raised over $500,000 for White Ribbons Breaking the Silence Program, which ...worked in schools across Australia to strengthen a culture of respect and equality at all levels of their school community. In fact, over 600 schools and over 30,000 students in eight states and territories have participated. We are proud of our work toward bringing awareness of the abhorrent issue of domestic violence in Australia and know that the money raised through The Harcourts Foundation has made a tremendous impact to the next generation. While the news is disappointing, we will continue to encourage conversation about this serious social issue. #community #oneteam #betterinblue

07.01.2022 This quarter in NZ, there was an individual in the Northern region who stood out for her work for the Foundation and the community and that was Julz Cooper from Optimize Realty Ltd. Julz puts in an enormous number of hours after work and on the weekends on fund raising events for the Foundation as well as other community groups and charities. Julz always goes above and beyond and youll usually find her behind the BBQ or greeting people as they arrive at an event. Just give... her a cause or the name of a charity and shell be off arranging it all in a very professional way. Thank you Julz for your incredible energy and generosity!

03.01.2022 Last night was such a special moment for our Adrienne and her beautiful husband Dom. The Harcourts Foundation donated $10,000 and the incredible staff from our ...Harcourts offices donated $600 to MNDAWA to to support local people living with Motor Neurone Disease right now when they need it the most! This donation funds emotional and physical support as well as education programs and research. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurological condition that attacks the motor neurones (nerves). It is the name given to a group of diseases in which the nerve cells (neurones) controlling the muscles that enable us to move, speak, swallow and breathe undergo degeneration and die. Dom was diagnosed at the start of 2020 making his year worse than most. We have watched on as Adrienne and her amazing family make changes and sacrifices to support Dom through this extremely challenging time. Every day, Adrienne comes into work with a smile and we are completely blown away by her strength and courage. There is more we can still do but we need YOUR help. Instead of buying that morning coffee, donate that change to MNDAWA instead. Every single $1 helps to make the days/weeks/months/years left for those diagnosed with MND live a better, happier life. 02.01.2022 Our Wellington Region Inspirational Award Winner for this quarter is Harcourts Regent Realty Limited Taradale Licensed Agent REAA 2008! Thanks to Regent and the Harcourts Foundation, young people living with cancer in Hawkes Bay can continue to receive the personalised support they need. The Acorn Project supports people aged 12 to 24 years, and their family, throughout their cancer journey. These services were traditionally provided through CanTeen which unfortunately closed its Hawkes Bay branch in 2018. Thanks to Kaine Wilson and the team at Regent, these young cancer sufferers will enjoy ongoing support.
