17.01.2022 Warm greetings from a strange time we live in! Unfortunately, Trudge has been cancelled so The Hearty Cauldron won't be running a stall until the COVID-19 situation is dealt with. In the meantime, let's encourage everyone to stay mentally healthy and physically safe. Below is a list of suggestions on how to deal with the mental challenges of quarantine: - Find that project you've been putting aside because you didn't have time. You have all the time in the world now.... - Make a routine videocall with family and friends. Be prepared with a fun fact or a funny story! - Consider how to use the internet: guilt-free distraction? Netflix, games, and online books are ready. Add to your knowledge stats? Consider an online course - many have lowered their prices. - Feel like you can't exercise without equipment? Try a nerd workout routine - they're designed just to use your body. So go be Batman! - Find a sunny spot in your house or backyard if available and sunbake - get that vitamin D! Bonus points for combining this with a workout. - Concerned about food or meal planning? Consider a online meal plan. This might be expensive but it's delivered and saves the mental decision-making stress - consider it an anti-depression tool. Or grab a free box from a friend that's on a plan - use them freebies! - Enjoy the little things: sipping a cup of tea and knowing that by being in quarantine you're helping others. Unfortunately big ideas take time, so we are going on hiatus until August 2020 - with one exception! Our stall will be at Trudge 2020! Come have a chat over your favourite tea :)...
