19.01.2022 Gardeners, we should start to think about Spring. Amazing weather for 4 July here at Cartref. 16 degrees outside, bulbs and belladonna's pushing their way through the soil, daisies starting to flower, and native violets in bloom. Now is the time to plant your annuals for colour, weed, feed, prune, divide, transplant, and mulch.

05.01.2022 Making small inroads on the quarter acre dream

04.01.2022 Division is the cheapest and quickest way to fill gaps in your garden, with your own plants. After a big day minding other gardens we spent this afternoon at Cartref dividing a clump of Clivia’s. These will fill an area that is a desired nesting place for our 3 lazy Labradors. If you can’t beat them find a way around them, and it didn't cost a cent.
