This program focuses on developing positive communication, emotional regulation, personal autonomy and conflict resolution, in a nurturing, relaxed environment. ... Camilla will be holding a small group of 6 children. She offers a program filled with creative workshops, hands on experiences, open resources, sensory play and movement opportunities while supporting each child to build confidence in their social and emotional capabilities. Starts Wednesday 2nd February, 2022, 10 weekly sessions, held 9am-3pm. Commitment is $550 for the term. 02.05.2022 EMOTIONAL WATERS ~ My body is really feeling the energetic ripples of this Full Moon in Cancer. I felt it building over the weekend; it peaked last night, when the fullness of emotions within me became highlighted. My reality as a co-parent, I find extremely challenging at times, in particular when I observe behaviours emerging in my children which do not reflect who I am. Feelings of helplessness surface, as I continually try to guide them, yet find myself repeating the s...ame teachings, without it being received and/or undone upon their weekly return. The disconnection that comes from our misunderstanding, when my intention is to create connection, cuts deep. It's the disheartening that follows their departure, when tears flow the most freely. The actions of a Nurturer can be overlooked sometimes, to the point where it becomes the expectations of others and breeds dependency. Taking becomes the others new norm, which lacks appreciation and gratitude for the gift being given by the Nurturer. Our family culture depicts the Nurturer, as one who cares and continually gives. I know this belief to be a false one and feel it only perpetuates resentment over time, within the person giving. The Nurturer is required to validate their own needs and if others are not willing to reciprocate, then the giver must be willing to reserve giving to fill their own cup instead. For me, this looks like setting firm boundaries on how I am willing and/or not willing to be treated as a Carer ie, when you speak to me in that way, I am not willing to continue this conversation.
