14.01.2022 VICE CHANCELLORS PARTICIPATION PROGRAM OF THE YEAR - LEARN TO ROW In 2019, Sydney University Boat Clubs Learn to Row (LTR) took 24 novices through a step-by-s...tep course on how to row, also undergoing basic tests to determine whether they have what it takes to progress through the club program. Eight of these individuals formed the inaugural Mixed Novice Eight that competed against Melbourne University as part of the Australian Boat Race and won, an enormous achievement on its own. This program broke down the main barrier of entry to rowing, cost, due its short and intensive nature, offering program graduates to opportunity to sign up as a full club member for the 2019-20 season. 13.01.2022 On a night when the old Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness was wound up and a new governance structure took over - its great to remember Director Greg Harris who arrived in the early 90s when Sydney Uni Sport was at the bottom of the pile and who came with a vision to beat it into shape. With another far-sighted leader, Ann Mitchell SUS and the Womens Sports Association merged in the early 200os to become the sporting powerhouse of today. Thanks, Greg - it was great working with you on the Management Committee for 16 years.

10.01.2022 These gardens around our new Thyne Reid Boathouse were just rock and dirt three years ago. Now they are going strong. The club looked after them for the first 18 months and now the gardens are under the care of Lane Cove Council.

10.01.2022 It's being just over there years since the new Thyne Reid Boathouse in Burns Bay, Lane Cove was opened. This video reminds us what a great training centre it is.

06.01.2022 Highlights of the 2020 AAGPS Head of The River. Congratulations to : Dan Noonan - Riverview Rowing Master -View won 3 of the 6 races and was 2nd on two others and third in another - a terrific all-around performance. Dan rowed at SUBC 2004-2008, and stroked our first win in the NSW mens eights for 30 years in 2005 Jason Baker and Dustyn Butler on Scots win in the 1st eights - their first win in 41 years.
