24.01.2022 Life is all about balance. Something to keep in mind this long weekend. It's ok to hangout with friends for a good meal and a few beves. ... Take the time to remember that you need the rest as well as the work. It's good for our mental and physical health to let loose ever now and again as long as we are making healthy lifestyle choices the bulk of the time. Keep this in mind as you get back to routine tomorrow and be kind to yourself and get ready to kick ass.

22.01.2022 6 AM. We had our first AM jiu-jitsu class today and it was a killer! They are running every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6-7 AM and being taken by our newest badass coach JT.... DM us if you want to come in and try a class.
22.01.2022 The Meel, The Meel was used as a training tool by ancient Persian warriors to develop the skills and strength necessary to use handled weapons like axes, maces, hammers and lances. These days it's used by badasses to develop strength, coordination and mobility. The Meel builds circular strength through the shoulders instead of the conventional push and pull.... 16.01.2022 5 QUESTIONS WITH A TRIBE MEMBER: Keone ----- 1. AGE & OCCUPATION? ... 37, sales in orthopedics ----- 2. WHAT WAS YOUR TRAINING EXPERIENCE PRIOR TO JOINING JB? It was a mixed bag. I used to be super fat until my early 30s then I started doing traditional training at the gym. In my own time I followed Gymnastic Bodies and Strong First. I also dabble in yoga and Pilates ----- 3. FAVOURITE CLASS AT JB? It's a draw between two opposites. Lift and Bodyweight. I love lift due to the primal nature of it i.e 'lift that heavy thing bitch'. My affection for Bodyweight comes from the strength required to do simple moves that kick your ass. I feel that the strength gained in BW compliments my compound lifts - eg stronger scaps = heavier deadlifts ----- 4. NOTABLE TRAINING RESULTS? I can squat 100kg+ controlled and ass to the grass (used to be a weak 100kgs before) Life. I joined JBs as I was in a transitional phase in life. I have no tribe (my love and belonging in Maslow’s Hierarchy wasn’t being met). I was single, partying hard and unemployed. Now I am fit, happy and progressing in my career. 01.01.2022 The new guy in town. Allow me to introduce you all to the newest member of the JB coaching fam James Tenacity Tomlinson or as we know him JT! JT is co-founder of Bulletproof for BJJ alongside our very own Joe Worthington and will be taking on the role of morning coach in our BJJ program.... That's right we are running morning classes! Kicking off this coming Monday JT will be running a fundamentals class every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6 to 7 a.m. JT is a black belt and has an extensive history in the sport having travelled and trained in Brazil, Canada and the US. He also brings a wealth of knowledge from the strength and conditioning world. We hope that you are as keen as we are to have this animal onboard and look forward to seeing you all jumping on the mats with him. Oss.

01.01.2022 Get your hands dirty. Check out the potatoes the boys pulled out of the JB community garden on Friday. If you've ever grown something in your own garden I think you'd agree it tastes twice as nice for the effort that goes into it.... We've made it a huge part of our community here at JB's. Getting the whole tribe involved on planting days and making sure they always know when their ready to pick. If you don't have some kind of greenery growing in your home we heavily recommend you give it a go. 01.01.2022 The long game. As we come into the new year I think it's a great time to remind ourselves that improving our fitness and working on new skills is a marathon, not a sprint. Focus on the long term journey reminding yourself to stay consistent at a maintainable pace rather the exploding out of the gate and burning our selves out.... Set short term landmarks leading towards the long term goals and always stat sustainable. Oss.
