05.01.2022 Some more good news from the NDIA this afternoon ... A new NDIS price guide has landed on the NDIS website. While this is not usually good news (!) this guide c...ontains a new line item covering low cost assistive technology. This new line item will allow people to purchase smart devices from their capacity building budget. So for all those people who could not buy a device because they did not have funds in their core budget - now you can use your capacity building funds. You don't need to ask to move funds around. You will however still need to meet all the other requirements for buying a device. This is effective from today. You can find more information here and a copy of the new guides here - https://www.ndis.gov.au/providers/price-guides-and-pricing And all the requirements around making a purchase can be found here - https://www.ndis.gov.au//participants-co/using-your-budget Please share and help get the word out.
