23.01.2022 Hey there! It's been a while. Even though I've not run an event since Dec 2018 I've still been here in the background, following all my fave Perth creatives and some new ones. Given the current situation we are experiencing in this uncertain time with coronavirus, seeing the many events and markets cancelled around WA and beyond, I really feel for WA small businesses, makers, creatives, designers, artists... Many relying on markets for their income, many with now a huge amoun...t of stock due to those markets having to cancel. How can we help them during this time? How about we... 1. Like, comment, tag their posts 2. Leave them a great review 3. Give them a shout out 4. Share their instagram and facebook accounts 5. Buy a gift voucher from them or a voucher for a service to be used at a later time 6. Check out their websites, some may even have special offers or discounts at the moment 7. Stay away from the shops and buy online, get that birthday gift and make it WA handmade/designed. For the really organised, start your Christmas shopping early! 8. Or why not send them an uplifting message to tell them how much you love what they do, their products, etc Small business owners, what else could we do to help? One of my faves is @bettybrownbags who has recently returned to Perth from two years in the UK! I just love these bags, designed by Kate here in Perth, and I own a few myself. 14.01.2022 What an absolutely beautiful and epic birthday cake! Looked too good to eat, but we did and it tasted amazing too! Thank you hubby for organising the most gorgeous birthday cake ever! Celebrated early with family today, so not quite 40 yet, but almost, later this month ... 40 isn't looking too bad so far though! Thank you to the amazing Cakes & Cupcakes by Kristy for creating this gorgeous cake and to Foote and Flame for the custom cake topper! Been a while since I posted, still here, just taking a little break, this was too good not to share.

04.01.2022 T H A N K Y O U ! Thank you to all the amazing Perth Creatives who took part in our Christmas Pop Up Market on Saturday at Lakeside Joondalup ! Thanks to all our customers who visited and shopped from our stalls, making it "the best market so far" for many of our stallholders!... And a big thank you to Lakeside Joondalup for hosting us once again and to the awesome Esmae who had faith and trusted in me to bring Pop Up Markets to the centre !! We've been running events at Lakeside for 2.5 years now and I have loved every single one! Once all the stalls are set up and ready to trade, I always feel so proud of what has been created. This was my last event for 2018 and as most of you know, I have decided to take some time off in 2019 (well the first half at least) to focus on my family, moving in to our new house which is now complete and settling in to our new home and community. I am unsure of what 2019 will look like for The Ladybird Market but will keep you all posted and in the meantime, I will continue to share my love of Perth handmade & designed and Perth female creatives. It's been a successful and fun 3.5 years of business so far! Lisa x

02.01.2022 H A P P Y N E W Y E A R ! Bit late but I decided to be more 'present' on the first day of this new year and start as I mean to go on! 2018 was a big and busy year personally. Our eldest girl started Kindy and our youngest girl turned one. After a year Perth based, hubby went back to fifo work. We started the process of building our new house in Feb and it was finished just days before Christmas. ... On the work front, I returned to Pop Up Markets in May, having had a few months maternity leave and The Ladybird Market came back with a bang for the massive Mount Hawthorn Streets & Lanes Festival followed by another 6 Pop Up Markets at Lakeside Joondalup in the second half of 2018. As many of you know, I have decided to take a break from events for at least the first half of 2019 to focus on family and moving into our new house. I can't wait to make our house a home, currently a blank canvas and look forward to living closer to family. Still in Perth but now South, not North. With two young kids and being a fifo family, it doesn't leave me much time for focussing the energy required to run The Ladybird Market to it's absolute best and I do like to put on a great market! So for now, it's a little break to reflect, find focus and figure out what's next. In the meantime, I will continue to share my passion for locally handmade and designed and support / promote other awesome Perth Female Creatives right here.
