25.01.2022 Although we were not able to hold our annual Melbourne Cup Function due to COVID Safe restrictions it was great to see a number of our Members take up the opportunity to enjoy a special lunch option of a grain fed slow roasted beef fillet with potato gratin, broccolini, dutch carrots & shiraz jus, followed by baked blackberry cheese cake with mixed berries & chantilly cream, including a glass of champagne, all whilst watching the great race in the Members Lounge. The Ladies played in an Irish Stableford team event for a bit of fun. Well done to our winners who certainly had a great day.

It has been an absolute pleasure hosting this wonderful group of ladies over the past few months as part of The Lakes Ladies Development Program, capped off with a High Tea and Wine after yesterdays final session of 7 holes on the golf course. 19.01.2022 The Titleist Summer Ball Promotion ended on Sunday 6th December and lasted since late September! All Members, who purchased a Dozen Titleist Golf Balls in this period, went into the draw to win a limited edition Titleist Staff Bag. Well today our Director of Golf, Paul Sainsbury, had the pleasure of drawing the winner of the bag. Watch the video to see who won this awesome looking bag. 08.01.2022 The Lakes PGA Professionals Shootout. Well done to all four PGA Professionals who competed in our inaugural PGA Shootout. Peter Lonard, Skye Choueiri, Charles Kares and Paul Sainsbury entertained The Lakes Members last Friday afternoon with some great shotmaking and a very close match. The Members also got to enjoy some great food and drinks on the course. 04.01.2022 MIXED FOURSOMES 2020 The second and final round of the 2020 Mixed Foursomes Championships was played today in much nicer conditions than the horrible wind and rain competitors had to contend with last week. Congratulations to everyone who persevered last week and completed the 36 hole event. 01.01.2022 Look who's Joining Our Team! Please join us in welcoming Skye Choueiri and Peter Lonard as our new Teaching Professionals! Skye will be available for tuition on Fridays and Saturdays, and Peter will be available for tuition on Mondays and Tuesdays, commencing the week of 16th November. Lessons with Skye, Peter or Charles can be booked in by phoning the Golf Shop, on the Club's website or the Club App. Skye is a former Lakes Member having won our Club Championship on two occa...sions, who has developed her teaching craft for almost a decade including experience at Manly Golf Club, Moore Park Driving Range, Millbrook Resort in New Zealand and Nicklaus North Golf Course in Canada. Skye is currently an Advanced Coach with the PGA of Australia, qualified with the Titleist Performance Institute and has displayed an ongoing commitment to developing her skills with professional development both in Australia and internationally in recent years. Peter joined the Lakes as a Member in 2001 and first started coaching in the mid-1980's. Peter has an accomplished international playing career having been featured in the top 50 players in the world, winning the MCI Heritage on the U.S. PGA Tour in 2005, played in two President's Cups, won two Australian Opens, won three Australian PGA Championships, won two Australian Masters and played in 26 majors! During this career Peter has been coached by some of the world's best, including David Leadbetter and short-game guru Dave Pelz, and our Members will benefit from this extraordinary experience. Peter plans on focusing on coaching mainly Lakes Members on Mondays and Tuesdays over the coming years. As one of Australia's most highly regarded professional golfers, he will continue to work on his game as he plays a more limited schedule of tournaments in the future. We are excited at the opportunity for Lakes Members to be able to receive a golf lesson any day of the week, with a choice of three very talented, committed and yet very different PGA Teaching Professionals, all of whom have strong connections to our Club.
