24.01.2022 It's show day tomorrow but like these lovely Angus heifers we won't be attending... we'll be opening the door at 8a.m. and closing the kitchen at 2p.m......

21.01.2022 Dear Lansdowne patrons and followers from afar: It is with a very heavy heart and grinding stomachs that we have made the decision to close the cafe for the forseeable future. Although we could officially continue to trade (and a big thank you to Cassy O'connor for confirming this for us via the premier's office) we have made the decision based on medical advice that Laura is at great personal risk and that is not a risk we are prepared to take. We dont feel that it is fair t...o place our staff in a situation that we are not personally prepared to be in so we are closing our doors as of 2p.m. today. We are both feeling overwhelming sadness and feel incredibly conflicted. We have a considerable amount of coffee that needs a home, if anyone is intersted PM us. For now we wish you all a safe journey through these murky waters. We are so grateful to our community for getting behind us over the last few weeks and cannot stress enough how much hope and faith in humanity this has given us. 17.01.2022 The huevos rancheros is back and so are we! Indoor dining(obviously limited so bookings are a good idea- one hour limit unfortunately). We will be opening the door at 8.00 and cooking until 2p.m closed at 2.30. We look forward to seating you!

09.01.2022 Sooooo the moment has arrived and as of 12pm tomorrow we will only be able to do takeaway meals and drinks. We are not sure how we should staff our business or if we should continue. For now we will open as usual tomorrow morning and hope that the takeaway meals continue to be as successful as they have been so far. We ask that you support us so that our egg, milk, bread, meat, vegan, juice, veg suppliers are also able to survive... we're all part of a big wheel and we need every spoke to be strong. 02.01.2022 Like everybody we have been having serious discussions about what to do to keep people safe and how to stay afloat. We have decided to continue to trade but offer take home/ pick up meals as an alternative to dine in, people still gotta eat right? We will cook your order, give you a pick up time and will deliver out front with eftpos machine in hand... please don't cough on us! This service will be available from 10 a.m tomorrow. Meanwhile in house we have reduced table numbers, sanitize after every sitting and have copious quantities of hand sanitizer for all. All our take away containers and cups are compostable (we compost all our kitchen waste also). These are tough times and we need each other! Love Laura, Simon and all the work fam x
