Benny and I are very simple souls and keep it super simple then we stay on track. ... I have really moved into the space of eating for energy, nourishment and fuelling my body. If something I do or eat isn’t for the betterment of my world, mind or body than I have learnt to sidestep it No need to overthink the process .
09.01.2022 I think when you start your fitness journey, you are so hell bent on reaching that one day when you just wake up without the struggle and loving working out. Now don’t get me wrong it does get easier as time goes on, and for many they do for all in love with the process and the training and yes I would fall into that category, but let’s not mistaken this for every day it just comes natural. Even if it gets easier, you still need to be disciplined, you still need to push h...ard and you still wake up and have that want and desire to stay in bed. Just because some show up every single day doesn’t mean that has come easy for them every single day some days even the most disciplined still battle to show up....... but they do. This for me is because I know what serves me, I know what makes me the best I can be for myself and those around me, so even when I want to sleep in I show up anyway. I compare it to ... do we want to show up at work every day? No not really but we do it anyway, we love the feeling a productive day brings, we love the feeling of accomplishment and achievement. You don’t have to love the workout itself, but fall in love that feeling after and who it makes you Stop waiting for that magical day when you just wake up and it’s easy, because you may just never get there. Fall in love and notice the person you have become because of the training and focus on wellness and for doing it anyway even if it was a struggle. This morning I woke with my own struggles but I got up and did it anyway. Be strong on the inside and you will show up and be strong on the outside. Align your actions and thoughts with your goals and you can’t go wrong In my struggle this morning I found my favourite training gear, thought strong, felt strong and just did it anyway And guess what?? never do you regret doing it
07.01.2022 Waking up one hour earlier every day to what my normal used to be is what got me my results so far. I already knew I could get all I needed done in a day because I was already doing it. 03.01.2022 Some mornings I have no plan, I feel exhausted, and I have no where to be and those are the days that although I cherish and love so much they are the days I find the hardest. When you are on the go in a high energy, high paced and busy role, throw in 3 hours drive every day to get to work and back, a teenage daughter with her own needs and places to be , a household and your own training regime when all that comes to a holt and you find yourself on a weekend with no one arou...nd and no timelines to follow you do somewhat stop and want to be the laziest person you could ever dream of ........ But instead of finding the couch or sleeping in (because honestly that does not serve me any good what so ever) , instead I get up an poke around , my movement isn’t what the gym would deliver but I’m moving and I’m showing up for what serves me . I then just spend time in the kitchen getting rid of any left overs in the fridge cooking up whatever that maybe . I spend the time wandering from the laundry to the kitchen, to the clothes line , music on , oven on diffuser on and I slowly from this return to my energetic self ready to train and lift. Don’t mistaken the feeling of needing to recharge as having to stay in bed, that not what your body wants (well it’s not what mine wants) It wants my house clean, it wants my chores done, it wants to smell fresh baked food , i want the feeling that my day has been as productive as if I was at work, but it’s made my week ahead easier and the feeling of getting things done sure beats the feeling of you have wasted the day I always try to live a life from what wil beneift and serve me to be my best for that moment and also the week ahead. I know if my mental health is on point i am giving myself the best change that it never turns to mental illness and I will never not give myself the time to invest into my mental wellness . So today although I missed my fit test at the gym, I knew what I needed to then show up for myself today and next week be it for family, work , training or for myself . So grateful for the choices I have made over the last 2 years , finding the strength to keep showing up even on hard tough days. they were at the time the toughest decisions of my life, and there was no guarantee they would turn out to be the my perfect now, but I knew if nothing changes nothing changes , and My entire world needed changing on so many levels. So grateful that I finally invested in to a holistic wellness program that I was always so sceptical of, between that and my training I have the healthiest mind and Body that I have ever had and ever dreamt of having. I honestly never thought life could be this great. (This does not mean it’s perfect but the imperfections I know how to show up for) Here’s to an amazing weekend, a house full of delightful smells, an organised house hold and ending the day with some good old training and lifting
